My LO is 7 months old and he has a massive interest in food, but so far every meal I’ve made him hasn’t been a massive success (slightly offended 🤣) he either turns his head away before he’s even tried it or just refused completely.
I’m finding it really hard on what to try him on? I’m making everything from scratch so there’s a lot of waste too, so far anything he has liked has been finger food bits etc and he loves a yoghurt.
Any advice would be appreciated

I've only done finger foods and the Heinz jars which my little boy has loved all of except the sweet potato one (which I don't blame him for as its disgusting 😅). I've only done it this way as I wanted him to try all sorts of flavours and textures before I started giving him my food
I found that the two Hipp Organic jars he tried were like sensory overload as there were numerous piece of veg etc, whereas the Heinz are better portioned if that makes sense. So maybe that's why he's okay with finger foods / eating dinners of the tray rather than being spoon fed 🤷🏼♀️ just a possible reason

Their main source of nutrition is still milk, so as long as he is still having the suggested amount then thats the main thing
My little boy has porridge of a morning (4tbs) and half of a big jar of Heinz 7m+ (100g)of an evening.
He's tried a number of fruits (most in his feeding dummy) and next to start trying is some veggies ☺️
They'll only do what they want to do, especially if you have a stubborn and independent child like I do. I think the only reason he allows me to spoon feed him is because he tried once with my help and got stressed that he wasn't getting the next mouthful as quick 😅🤣
