Anyone else just going through actual trenches at the minute? My 2 year old daughter has made our house hell for the last few weeks. She’s in the transition of dropping her nap but come 4/5 she’s a night mare 😩 refuses to eat most things, won’t sit at the table. Anything we say no to the more she does it and she’ll stamp her feet and scream no. I genuinely dread each day I’m so over stimulated I could cry every day 🥲

I try to avoid using the word no because of this and say things in another way to get her to stop. An example is if she's talking with food in her mouth, instead of saying not to do that, I say "I can't hear you when you have food in your mouth" and there's a lot less resistance. When I slip up, say no and she finds it funny to repeat it, I completly change my tone so she knows I'm being serious and if she doesn't listen again, the consequence happens. Messing about with things she isn't meant to? She or it comes away. I can't say it's easy or my tactics work every time, but I find it makes life easier
