Lopsided!

My LG only feeds from my right boob - I’ve been told by the Breastfeeding Network that this is perfectly normal which is fine. I try to pump from the left occasionally but I don’t always get round to it… now I’ve noticed that my right boob is bigger than my left (which makes sense) but does this mean I’m permanently lopsided?! Will pumping more even then out? Will it be even out when I start weaning?

Have you tried feeding from the left using the rugby hold? Sometimes my little boy doesn't like lying on his right side so feeding form the left breast I have to do the rugby hold (his body being me, head at breast so he is lying on his left side)

Hello! I had this issue early on because my right nipple was so sore and bleeding. I couldn’t bring myself to feed her that side so she then properly went off the right (we also think from her head post birth didn’t like laying that side. I had to work really hard to get her used to the right again, a couple minutes at a time, which slowly over time worked and built up longer and longer, now she’s okay with both sides. In the meantime I pumped to help keep supply up.
Maybe see if your baby doesn’t like laying on a particular side x

I also had this but a left side preference. I think it was to do with baby not liking laying one side as others have said and also the side he didn’t like has a faster leg down. Instead the lactation consultant we saw suggested reclined feeding on that side so that he found latching easier as he was in control, let down is naturally slower against gravity and fixed the side lying preference (also called koala hold). It was hard work at first but as above we just built time on that side up slowly and now at 3 months he has no preference at all!

On a separate note our lactation consultant said she had a baby who would only feed on one no matter what she did and she said she was still lopsided after stopping breast feeding

We are currently working with a cranial osteopath, as my daughter has a preference for lying and keeping her head on one side, and it is helping.

Should I be as concerned as I am?

My daughter has her 1 yr doctor's appointment on the 11th and I wanna ask her pediatrician about it but she's entering the toddler stage so I'm not sure if it's normal. But we've caught her bitting her hands and arms when she's upset. She also pinches others including herself. Is this normal behavior for a toddler? Two of my brothers have autism and this was a huge sign for them as they reached elementary school so I'm not sure if it's the same thing. Eventually I also want to get her tested for ADHD (my brothers also have this and so does her dad - no longer in the picture btw) her father also has schizophrenia which I didn't find out until recently. What is the appropriate age to get her tested? I'm a ftm so idk what to do or think. On top of this I want to get her legs checked out because of the way they are when she's walking. Will they straighten out on their own? Is this normal for babies? Is this something worth asking her pediatrician about? Down below is a video of this so anyone who has a good idea about this or advice would be very helpful!!!

HV due when I need to put toddler to bed.

Shall I leave a note on the door? Try and hold toddlers nap out? The HV appointment is for my new baby due in 2 months and not my toddler.

I am having the home appointment alone as my partner is working away.

Pram recommendations?

I’m starting to look at travel systems and really love the Silver Cross ones, but they’re so expensive. I’m happy to invest in a good pram if it’s worth it, but I’ve seen a lot of people say they can be quite heavy and that they ended up switching to a cheaper lightweight buggy later on.

Can anyone recommend a pram that’s great from newborn onwards? Thank you in advance ☺️

My son won’t walk with me.

He is 2.5 years and I have to carry him everywhere to get anywhere since he doesn’t listen. If I put him on the ground and hold his hand he will either squirm out of it and run or throw himself on the ground and go limp. He doesn’t come or stay close when I call. He immediately bolts and expects me to follow him. I don’t believe in hitting or yelling. I do stern talk for danger and tried giving him one of two options. None of the other kids his age are this way. They listen to their parents and stay close. What do I do?

Breastfeeding toddler

I'm still breastfeeding my son who will be two in a few months.

It still feels completely natural and is mainly a way that he settles himself but I am thinking of gently weaning at some point soon.

I am more aware of other people's opinions about it now he's a bit older, despite this being completely normal in a lot of places and the World Health Organization still recommending brrastfeeding up to two years of age or beyond.
