Recently moved into a new apartment and a African man who lives in the building took a interest in myself and my daughter. He gave a compliment like I dont know which one is more beautiful you or the daughter. I say thanks but then he sees us another day and he throws another compliment. Now im uncomfortable. Another day he stops in his tracks to stare at the both of us briefly. One day my daughter forgot something in the car and went downstairs to grab it. He approaches the car and asks her how old she was. She tells him please step back im not comfortable. He said " fine im going inside anyway". My daughter tells me what happened and I immediately flew into a rage. I knew exactly who she was talking about and went and knocked on his door. I told him if he has any questions he needs to ask me directly not when my daughter is alone. He acted like he never saw us before and defended his behavior by saying he has a son. Pissed me off. Am I over reacting?

Not overreacting. When it comes to our little daughters (and even sons) trust every instinct and gut feeling.

Glad you told him off and be on your guard always.

That being said, I don’t think mentioning he’s African was important and if that’s the only reason you’re worried then i would think twice.

Also, compliments aren’t always harmful but approaching daughter when alone is definitely not ok when you’re not friends.

Don’t let her out of your sight. Please. Reading this scares me

Definitely not overreacting. It’s always the people that live close to where our coast to personal your instincts are never wrong, especially as a mother.

Spanking is abuse?

To the people that classify spanking your children as abuse - if your friend spanks their child as a form of discipline, are you calling child’s services to report them?

HOT TAKE ALERT

If you want to homeschool your child(ren) you should have to have a degree in education

Great example as to why 🤡

I love being a boy mom 🥰🤭

So my 9 month old just gave me a hug and asked for a kiss * he said mama kiss 😭 aaaghhhhhhhhh 🤭I’m running around the house like a toddler 😂😂 even if he tires me out everyday and pulls my hair and scream for fun and want me to pick him for 6 hours a day , I mean even if he prefers to hang with dad and comes to me for food and comfort when he falls down and yeah he started walking so that means he’s using those little legs for their for. And likes to open the toilet and I have to wash it everyday and he likes to eat dirt when we play outside and I am basically he’s shadow because I’m trying to keep him alive 😭 I love being a boy mom

Do you think children being picky eaters are in general a result of their parents ? Like not being given a variety of tastes and textures from a young age . Or exposed to sugary and snack foods marketed at babies which replace real food

( I know there is exceptions of course such as kids on the spectrum and arfid ) . I have heard this topic before and I’m curious on others opinions !

Am I too cautious when it comes to choking?

My toddler (almost 2) is going to be transitioning into the toddler classroom at daycare soon. She had her first visit and I noticed in the pictures posted that her blueberries were served whole not cut up. At home we're very big on cutting any foods that could be a choking hazard, such as blueberries and grapes. I sent an email to her new educators and kindly asked that blueberries be cut in the future. Am I too cautious? Or was emailing them the right thing to do?

He won't eat food

He is refusing solids all together. I cant get him to eat anything. It was cure is play won't eat anything anymore. I don't understand what im doing wrong here. Like he just won't eat and I feel like if I start giving formula again that this will never end. Im so fucking frustrated right now. Like I'm having a break down right now. There so many things that are already overwhelming me and this is just another fucking thing.
