Do you think saying this is ok?

My friend has a daughter who’s now 20 months old. 6 months ago, she met a guy & they’re now living together.
My friend works Monday to Friday so her daughter is in childcare 9-5:30 for them days.
Her partner has said to her that he thinks on the weekend family should look after her baby so that him and her can 1 have alone time and 2 get some rest.
He also is saying her daughter needs to be in bed and asleep by 7.30 so they can get there evenings together after work.
I feel like my friend never has her and I feel terrible on her daughter!??

That's terrible. What does she think about what he's said? If it was me I'd be ending it with the guy 100% my babies come before ANYONE it would kill me to have to put them in childcare all week and only get to spend the weekend with them

I hate that he moved in after 6m that's terrifying and is now dictating this stuff is pretty red flag, all of it.

While I don't disagree in making time for adult relationships if help is available not every week but if bedtime is bedtime at 7.30 but if it isn't that's not going to work. Tbh evening switch off babies shouldn't be going to bed late just because we work. It's not fair to them.

But baby led, and the weekend thing is the thing for me, so coupled not great.

I don't think it's necessarily meant badly what's concerning is the first part added with the 2nd the 2nd on its own isn't necessarily bad but isn't great

How does your friend feel about it? Has she confided or has she just said this is what we're doing now?

It's her life. But yikes 😬

Spanking is abuse?

To the people that classify spanking your children as abuse - if your friend spanks their child as a form of discipline, are you calling child’s services to report them?

HOT TAKE ALERT

If you want to homeschool your child(ren) you should have to have a degree in education

Great example as to why 🤡

Do you think children being picky eaters are in general a result of their parents ? Like not being given a variety of tastes and textures from a young age . Or exposed to sugary and snack foods marketed at babies which replace real food

( I know there is exceptions of course such as kids on the spectrum and arfid ) . I have heard this topic before and I’m curious on others opinions !

I refuse to let my child be a gamer

I know video games arent inherently bad but I don’t like it as a hobby. I don’t like the idea of my kid being addicted to a video game and spending time staring at a screen. I know everything in moderation but I know way too many adults who are addicted and spend hours playing. I’d much rather have my kid do sports, music, or arts.

Kiss my ass!!!

So I’m eating food for the first time today and my husband took our son out to the garden to water the plants. I had to use the bathroom so I went out and told my husband that I’m going to use the bathroom, not even a second went by and I heard my baby scream cry and I ran out side and my husband was like he threw up out of his nose and got scared and then handed him to me and told me to deal with it and went back to his garden. I was trying to calm down my little one but I couldn’t find his binky(pacifier) and I called out to my husband hey do you know where you put the binky and he yelled back at me look on the floor…..it was under the couch and I couldn’t get it. I went outside to ask my husband if he could get it and he didn’t answer me so I asked again a little louder because I thought he couldn’t hear me. And he turned around and yelled at me can’t you wait one fucking second you are always bitching about something! And I was like you could have fucking responded to me so I didn’t have to ask you twice. And he went into the house got the binky washed it threw it at me and went into the bathroom and slammed the door. I guess we arnt going to Costco today.
