Hi girls, I don't know how to stop feeling sad. I'm so scared that my baby is picking up my sadness and something bad will happen to him 😔. I feel so alone, and honestly, I'm even tired of this pregnancy. I'm not with the baby's father because, let's just say, he never wanted to be involved, and soon my sister is moving to Europe. I'll be completely alone, and it's awful. I don't want to feel this abandoned anymore.

Hello girl, I have struggled with mental health even before pregnancy like pretty bad and have had big episodes of emotional stress that has caused me to fear I have hurt my baby. I get so many 3rd party ultrasounds once a week out of paranoia something is wrong with my baby. Our journeys and lives are different but I understand the sadness I’m also a single mom also. Although you feel alone there are people who feel just like you it’s hard. I’m here for you if you need anything

Hey girl, I’m dealing with a pretty similar situation right now with my baby’s dad. Just try your best to do things that distract you or make you happy. At the end of all this you’ll have your baby and he will have to live with the fact this is what he’s done with the family god blessed him with. There are harder days but I promise it’ll get better. If you need to cry then cry but tell yourself these emotions won’t last. I find doing things even alone like shopping make my days more enjoyable.

Some of these people are clearly not aware of what a solo parent is. Mamas, if you have no one by your side you’re a solo parent, not a “single parent.” Your village doesn’t have to be people who are related to you or your child. I’m not sure which state you live in but there are definitely maternal support groups out there (virtually and in-person). There are also maternal hotlines that can help you during these times (yes, there are hotline for pregnancy, postpartum and if you’re having behavioral issues with your child). I am more than welcome to introduce you to a few resources, including toll-free numbers. I’ve been in your shoes before and understand where you’re coming from. Not many people on here have actually been in the trenches of solo parenting.
