Has anyone with gestational diabetes purchased a cgm monitor instead of doing the finger prick test?
I’m terrified of needles and don’t think I can do the finger prick test 4 times per day.
If so can anyone recommend one and roughly how much it cost for the device and items to maintain?
Thanks!

You’ll be looking at hundreds out of pocket for cgm. It isn’t even free for those with Type 1 Diabetes apart from during pregnancy. The actual finger prick is tiny. You can’t see the needle either 😊 if you have survived blood tests you’ll manage finger pricks so easily!

Hey Suzie, I had GD twice and now am a Type One Diabetic. I wear a CGM and do finger pricking. If you want to chat send me a message :) I’m happy to share what I know.
