I’m about 9mo postpartum and since my baby was 2 months old I started getting my period again. I assumed getting a period was a sign that I had eggs waiting to be fertilized but after all this time I haven’t gotten pregnant again? Why is that?

Are you breastfeeding? Sometimes that can help not get pregnant but not all the time. Your body and God might just be saying not the right time to have another child. But yes you could every much get pregnant if you’re having a period. It’s just about timing

If you are having a period then you are ovulating again.
Breastfeeding is not a form of contraception and the only reason people say it is is because it can delay your periods, but if you’ve had your periods back for months now then it’s not going to be the breastfeeding stopping you.
Are you actively trying to get pregnant again? There’s only a very small window every month for you to actually get pregnant, so if that’s what you want then maybe start tracking ovulation to increase your chances.
Yea that makes sense, I got baby fever everytime my baby reached a milestone and every month when I get my period it’s bittersweet because I want another but I also just want to spoil my baby while I can
