Hello! I am thinking about putting my 3.5 year old into headstart but I’m a SAHM. I’ll still have my 16 month old at home trying to get him potty trained and talking.
Am I bad mom for this…?

My stepson did Headstart for a couple months when he was about 3½. I appreciated how we'd have regular meetings in order to help him reach the goals he had.

No, not at all, there’s nothing wrong w/using childcare when you’re a SAHM. Now this was like 14yrs ago, I sure hope they got their 💩together everywhere now, but when we got our 1st head start here, my oldest was pre k age & I decided to apply for him a slot & got PT. I ended up losing my job due to them, I’d go stand in line for the school to open to be told they didn’t have enough teachers, hard to find alternative care 30mins bf work as a single-ish mom, plus they put so much mustard on the food none of the kids ate, the last straw was feeding frozen veggies w/o thawing them. I was sitting in for lunch after losing my job & my son wouldn’t eat his peas, so I tried one, they were still nearly solid & lunch time was over. I pulled him that day, my late MIL had told me he was always starving when she picked him up, even though he left after lunch, I figured it was a growth spurt. I pulled him out & had to go through a DHS home check as a result, but our complaints shut them down.
