Potty training...

Anyone struggline with potty training a boy!? We seem to not be bothered about running about with wet clothes. When i catch him starting to wee, i quickly say lets go to the toilet and then he doesn't do anything. And theirs the crying and not wanting to sit on the potty. Is he just not ready or am i doing something wrong

How long have you been doing it? The first few days my daughter refused the potty, then she would go to it if I physically took her but she was fine with wet clothes, were only just at the stage of her telling us she needs the toilet and were 5 weeks in.

We did attempt when she first turned 2 and it was a complete fail, she just wasnt ready, which is fine, we just left it for a few months then tried again.

We started with our boy in May and it all seemed to be going well, but for the last month he's completely ignored it. He'll go and wee if I prompt him, but otherwise he's just not bothered. He will start to wet his pants, stop himself, and then still not say anything or go on his own. It's not that he can't manage it either, he pulls his pants up and down by himself all the time. And Poos are the tricky one as he doesn't want to do them in the potty, occasionally he does it, but usually we either have an accident in his pants or he does it in his nappy first thing when he wakes up.
I think mine is going through some sort of regression😅

Needing to get out / do stuff with other moms

Yall- I don’t even know where to start .. but as I continue this search for people who share the same interests .. I tend to go backwards I feel like . My husband works 12 hrs most nights one week and 24 the next (goes b&f) . And so I’m usually stuck at home all the time when he works or sleeps to regain rest . I do enjoy going out with my little family , but imo it’s a different feeling when you go out with friends . You feel like you can unwind a bit and not feel so tense or wtv ur feeling . I need some of that more often . And I haven’t been able to accomplish that for me and my baby as much as we’d like to . I can’t drive as of right now and that just makes it even harder … Any ideas or suggestions ladies ??

I’m looking for honest opinions on a situation with my sister-in-law.

My husband and I recently moved to a new area where we don’t know anyone. We’re about 3 months in, and I’m 7 weeks postpartum with my first baby. I’ve been finding motherhood quite overwhelming, especially without my usual support network, and I’m still adjusting at my own pace.

My sister-in-law messaged me saying she feels disappointed in how I treat my mum compared to hers, and that this is affecting her distance from me. She also offered to connect me with a friend who has a similar-aged baby.

I replied explaining that I’m still adjusting to new motherhood, feeling vulnerable, and only recently becoming comfortable accepting help from my own mum. I said I’m not ready to accept help from her mum yet, and that I need time and space to do things at my own pace, while still appreciating the offer of support.

I’m now wondering if I’m being unfair for feeling more comfortable with my own mum right now, or if my sister-in-law is being unfair in expecting equal treatment between the two grandmothers at this stage.

5.5 Hour Road Trip

Hello! So, my daughter is 2 weeks old and we are planning to travel on the bank holiday, when she’ll be 4 weeks old.
What sort of time frame will we have to make stops? Every hour? Every 2? As I know that prolonged time in a car seat is not good for babies.
Thanks in advance!

Ideas

Starting Christmas shopping, what are some gifts ideas for a 5 month old, Besides clothes & books???

My baby will be 5 months in December, but there is a big gap from Christmas and her first birthday, so I’m also looking for ideas for spring/summer time for a 6-10 month old age range as well. Possible outdoor things, and development toys…

Headstart

Hello! I am thinking about putting my 3.5 year old into headstart but I’m a SAHM. I’ll still have my 16 month old at home trying to get him potty trained and talking.

Am I bad mom for this…?
