Advice on early induction

I had my growth scan today (35 weeks) and they are measuring on the 9th percentile. I have another scan in two weeks and they'd like to discuss inducing between 37-39 weeks if they've not grown enough. Any advice or similar experiences?

Second baby and my first was born 6th percentile at 40 weeks - small but perfectly healthy!

Ask the reasons... If genetically small, go full term. If there are medical issues (I.e placenta failing or umbilical cord issues) then go for induction. My family have always had small babies and the same on my husbands side (no one has been any bigger than 7lb), yet my consultant is "unhappy" with the baby's size and is trying to talk me into an induction also.
Ask questions, do your research (on the web and family history) and then make your decision.
Wishing you all the best xx

I had my induction last Saturday at 38 weeks exactly because he was on the 8.5 centile. I had had a few bouts of reduce movement also because he was measuring small they introduced me. Since he has been out this week, he is thriving and putting weight on.

Also, second baby

Labour approaching?

Too late for C section?

Hey everyone, so I’m 39 weeks today and I’ve become really frightened about having a vaginal birth. I’m worried that I’ll panic when labour becomes painful because I have a very low pain tolerance. I don’t feel that I can cope with a vaginal birth the closer it’s getting and feel like I’d maybe like to request a planned C-section. Do you think this is still possible or have I left it too late? I feel as though I will panic so much I won’t be able to push and will end up having a c section anyway.

Confused

Hi ladies! So I’m at L&D triage right now because I’m showing signs of early labor. Yesterday I experienced 10 contractions from 10:58pm to 11:58pm. I’ve experienced a few contractions since being here but not like yesterday. Me and baby are being monitored and everything is good. I was told my cervix is closed but they’ll monitor me for a couple more hours to see if anything changes and if so they’ll keep me.
What could this mean? I am in early labor or is it just my body playing tricks on me. Because my water hasn’t broken and I haven’t lost my mucus plug so that’s good

Big baby advice please!!

I attended my midwife appointment today (27+4) and baby is literally off the scales! Midwife has said she’s referring me for an emergency scan and look really concerned for me. Has anyone else’s growth chart shown a baby this big? If so what was the weight at birth? TIA

Moving House with Newborn

When you have just had a baby and you get a completion date to move house this Friday (baby will be 2 weeks 2 days). The only words are shattered and overwhelmed. Any one else done this before?😰
