C section recovery

Hi everyone. I’m currently 8 weeks postpartum and have been trying to gently get myself more active, especially cos I’ve noticed I’m getting more aches and pains in my joints and abs (to be expected I’m sure!) Someone suggested trying gentle yoga or Pilates and just wondered if anyone had tried that and found it helped? If so did you go to a class or was there a good homework you found. Thank you ☺️

Hi!
Didn’t workout for the first trimester pp after cs
I only did soft stretches on a yoga mat (youtube videos)
Helped me with muscle aches and general better movement
Soft almond oil massages on tummy went great too
Have a speedy recovery ❤️‍🩹

I had a section 16 months ago and still have aches I found walking everyday helped ease them especially from early on, I tried both yoga and Pilates and for me personally it made no difference. I now go for regular deep tissue massages and it really help with aches and pains especially in my lower back. Hopefully your pain eases x

Following this post 4 weeks post my c section too. Do you also get incision pain as well?

If you can I’d see a postpartum/women’s health physio before doing Pilates or anything that uses your abs. If you have any ab separation (which is totally normal) you could inadvertently make it worse by performing the exercises incorrectly. I saw a physio at 11w pp and, while it wasn’t cheap (£100ish for a “mummy mot”), it was worth every penny

Painful sex?

I’m 8 weeks post c section and have tried to have sex twice but it’s extremely painful around the opening and also a sharp pain deep inside. Has anyone else experienced this and does it get better?

What are you all doing in this heat?!

Just wondering what you’re all managing to do in this heatwave to keep sane and not feel cooped up?! I’m managing to get out for an early walk with my 6 week old in the pram, but feeling incredibly limited during the rest of the day due to the heat and walking/ getting anywhere comfortably with my baby! Anyone else feeling this way?

Sleep anxiety

Anybody else pregnant and just so sleep deprived you feel like you're going insane?

I've got majorly bad sleep anxiety as it is and im getting about 3/4 hours every night. im exhausted! I work full time and have a nearly 6 year old as well. I'm bursting out into tears a lot, cant think rationally, forgetting everything, snapping at everyone, my energy levels are shocking can hardly help with the housework and cooking so naturally, we're all eating shit and the house is disgusting. My partner helps best he can but he works full time also and its a physical job 🤷‍♀️

What can I do to help my sleep? I've got a pregnancy pillow which doesn't seem to help and the weather probably isn't helping either. Desperate at this point 😅

Baby dropping at 29+3

Hi this is probs nothing but I’m 29+4 today and I just keep getting a weird feeling my baby is coming soon , I’m a FTM so I’m not sure if my body is trying to tell me something or if I’m just over thinking it but today I was sitting on my sofa and I like I really need to pee again (not unusual I know) then I go pee and I got like this strange kind of relief feeling and when I stood up I felt my baby very very low like almost by my pelvic bone and now it feels and looks low - as in you know when you suck in your tummy I can do that now and I’m flat and I just have this like hard lump at the bottom of my belly - I’m not small by any means but i tried to do this before to see my baby’s size once and I literally couldn’t suck in anything it was so hard - I’m typing this at almost 4am so apologies if it’s making no sense but I don’t know what to think, I’ve been losing my mucus plug for around 2 weeks now and I know it’s regenerating but just wondering if anyone has experienced similar? Google telling me I could be close to giving birth or not at all so who knows
