I have a very active baby who is constantly crawling around and trying to interact with people.
My friend came over today to watch a show and eat. While we were eating, my baby kept crawling over to her because he wanted to interact with her. He wasn’t touching or even able to reach her food, and I was already feeding him my own food, but she repeatedly told him, “No dude, it’s my food.” I eventually told her she didn’t need to keep saying it because he’s still too young to understand.
Later, she got out nail glue to fix her nail. When my baby crawled over, she told him to stop because of the fumes. I told her that if she was worried about the fumes, she could put the glue away or move somewhere else because this is his home and he’s going to crawl around.
Then she put her food bowl on my sketchbook. I asked her to move it because the sketchbook is special to me. She said, “I’ll buy you a new one, they’re cheap.” She ended up spilling rice and oil on it, leaving oil stains, and also spilled rice on my couch.
The sketchbook cost $13, but that’s not the point. I specifically chose that sketchbook because I like the quality and it’s important to me. I was upset that I’d told her it was special and she dismissed it because she thought it was cheap.
I understand she’s childfree and doesn’t particularly like kids, and that’s completely her choice. But this is my home, and I don’t expect my baby to be confined or constantly told off for crawling around and trying to interact with someone. I also don’t bring him to her house because I know her home isn’t baby-friendly and I respect that.
By the end of the visit I was really upset and honestly don’t want to continue the friendship.

I certainly would not continue that friendship. What an appalling way to speak to ur child and treat your home

Honestly I probably would have told her to leave, she doesn’t sound like a good friend to you if she’s going to talk that way/act that way to your child and treat your things that are important to you in that way. How would she react if you acted that way in her home, with her things? It’s disgusting. I wouldn’t continue the friendship. if you decide to continue it, I certainly wouldn’t invite her to your home again or be around your child, which tells you that if she isn’t worthy of that then she isn’t worthy of your friendship.

That’s not your friend girl …

Time to cut her off hunny lol

Honestly she sound annoying as hell lmfao I’m so sorry I wouldn’t continue that friendship either 😩😩😩

She is not ur friend if she gonna treat ur baby like that omg would immediately kicked her to curb

She sounds childish, I would cut her off but because she’s not taking into account that you repeatedly told her to not do certain things in your home and she didn’t respect that. Especially around your baby you’re right it you’re baby’s home as well and he shouldn’t be limited in doing things the baby does on the daily over someone who doesn’t understand or take the time to understand that babies don’t completely understand things at this age.

You said it yourself. You don’t want to continue the friendship and you don’t have to!! It doesn’t matter how long you’ve known somebody for them to come into YOUR home and make you feel like that.

She wanted to hit her vape and I have a very strict no vaping rule in my house. She opens the door and proceeds to leave it open while she sticks her head out the door to vape. I asked to close it because it was cold and she said no it’s too cold and I told her that why I’m asking you to close it you’re either in or out. She proceeded to ignore me and still used her vape

Not your friend. Run now. You should cut her off.

Don’t let her back in. If she cared about you, she’d care about baby too. Not telling him off! Praying for you girl, I know it’s hard but let that girl go, she isn’t someone you need.

That would be the last time she came to my house. Because aint nobody going to act like that towards me or mines in my yard.
Motherhood will teach you who to keep around and who not.
I just saw your comment about her wanting to vape too. Are you for real... At what point do you tell this girl to leave your house!!
The dynamic of this friendship seems like she doesn't respect you. Or thinks your a push over... Cut it now

The best friends support and uplift. Have the conversation with her that this hurt your feelings. She will either see and support, or get mad and help you let her go. 😊 ❤️
