Breastfeeding guilt :(

Hi ladies. Lately I’ve been in my head and feeling extremely down about my breastfeeding journey and how it ended at 5.5 m PP with my daughter. I’m 9 months PP now. I stopped due to mental health reasons but can’t help be feel as though I failed her tremendously. Even though she is thriving, happy and so healthy the guilt eats away at me. Does anyone have any tips on how I could overcome this? I cry a lot about it now😭

You did something beautiful for her for 5.5 months. Then, so that you could continue to be the best version of yourself possible for her, you switched to doing something different, but EQUALLY as beautiful, because at the end of the day, you're making sure that she is fed, cared for, and loved to the best of your ability. Breastfeeding is HARD, I say to anyone who asks about it that it's hands-down the hardest thing I've ever done. I also stopped for mental health reasons, because I couldnt hold myself together. And my son deserved the version of me that was together enough to have the patience and the presence for him, more than he needed breastmilk over formula. She won't be fundamentally affected by receiving formula, but could be by a momma who's pushing herself too hard. ❤️ give yourself grace hun. You're doing your best & that's what's most important and impactful.

Sex question!

I’m almost 2 weeks postpartum 😂my sex drive is back and it’s driving me mad. Had my little boy almost 2 weeks ago but had to have stitches! How long do I have to wait before we have sex?! It’s driving me crazy!

I feel like a sex addict

I hear so many women saying they didnt feel ready even after 6 weeks and they feel touched out and I hear and understand how they can feel that way. I feel the complete opposite and I havent seen anyone else say they have like right after birth (obviously i just pushed her out so body wasnt ready) but mentally i was so ready. Is it normal to feel that way

Satan-in-law!

Ohh where to begin! My sister in law has caused a lot of drama during my pregnancy resulting in high blood pressure, panic attacks, and high stress. I’m trying my best to focus on my pregnancy and me and my husband are working hard to ensure our marriage stays strong but she seems to love putting a wedge between us! Baby is due in 3 months, she hasn’t contacted me in 2 months. Is it cruel to not allow her to meet my baby when he is here? She has treated me like crap and turned her whole family against me and also tried to do the same to my own family. She is a liar, narcissistic, manipulative etc. and I don’t want this energy around my child. Any advice??

Postpartum unsolicited opinions and advices are the worst

While im recovering, I’m tired of people and constant blame on me for anything related to the baby. Literally zero emotional support to the mother. People comment on how the baby looks, weight, questions on breast milk etc.

People just make the phase harder for new moms. Has this happened to y’all too?

Husbands and putting baby to sleep

I can't tell if I'm being overdramatic or not. My husband is very hands on with our 15 month old daughter. We both work full time and our days are extra long. I work earlier than he does, so he gets her ready in the morning and brings her to Grandma's and then I pick her up and start our evening routine with her. I usually cook and do most of the cleaning/laundry. But he's hands on helping as soon as he gets home. One day as week he's off by himself and has her all day. He loves this extra day with her.
But he never offers to put her to sleep, for naps or bedtime, if I'm home. Not since she was a newborn. I still breastfeed her to sleep of I'm with her,but we plan to wean soon. He says he just can't get her to sleep because he doesn't have "the magic weapon". On his solo days with her, when she needs to take a nap, they just watch TV until she hopefully falls asleep. He says he's tried music, rocking, low lights, etc but it doesn't work. I think he's not trying enough and taking the easy way out.
Am I being unreasonable for feeling annoyed that he never helps put her to sleep and always expects me to do so?
