This is going to sound odd and probably laughable to some people. That’s okay.
How do you cope going from 1 to 2?
We’ve just babysat our 3 year old niece for the first time overnight with our 2 year old and my gosh we’re exhausted 😂
From refusing to go to bed, to pushing each other, to throwing things at each others heads, to multiple wakings through the night, refusing food and refusing to drink. How do you cope?
It’s really put me off having another, especially as I’ve learned how much my daughter hates sharing and gets possessive over me 😬

I can't speak about the experience of going from one to two, but I can say it will be drastically different having a newborn with a three year old than having two toddlers. Babies begin to develop empathy and the understanding of the needs of other people around 3-4 years old, so the fact that your daughter doesn't share well could change with time. And infants and toddlers have different enough needs that the older toddler doesn't necessarily see themselves as "sharing" you.
That said, it does get harder with two, and your toddler will keep you from "sleeping when the baby sleeps," which is something to consider...

In my experience, going from 1 to 2 was tough, but especially the first 3 months. Then it gets better, slowly slowly. You find a new rhythm, and the love they develop between each other makes it so worth it ❤️

I’ve recently gone from 1 to 2, youngest is 3wk, eldest is 3.
I was worried about this as my eldest isn’t best sharing etc and really all for me.
But she loves her little bro, she never once done anything to attempt to hurt him just wants to cuddle/kiss him all the time.
Don’t get me wrong it is hard trying to share my time, but it’s all worth it, and I know it will get easier the older the children get c
