4 month regression

My baby is 17 weeks and since week 14 has been waking several times a night and is really difficult to put down for naps. Prior to this he was sleeping through the night without any wakes.

Should I start a form of sleep training? Is it too early? Will he go back to his previous sleep habits naturally? I’m getting exhausted

Hi Olivia! I’m sorry you’re struggling with this regression. Some babies will go back to how they were sleeping before and some struggle more. When babies hit this regression their sleep changes from 2 sleep cycles they have as a newborn to a 4 stage sleep cycle. The 2 stages of sleep that have been added are light sleep. So if your baby was assisted so sleep previously (fed, rocked, bounced, etc) they are now waking every sleep cycle or every few sleep cycles needing that same thing to get back to sleep because they’re in light sleep. Many of my clients reach out at this age and start sleep training to help their baby through this regression.

Sleeping on your back

Hi guys, I've been told so many different things about ways of sleeping. I try to sleep on my left but I always find I sleep on my back. Is this ok?

Postpartum Hair Loss

Anyone else experiencing postpartum hair loss around 3 months? I genuinely had no idea this was even a thing until it started happening to me! 😩 Any tips for helping with it? And does it actually all grow back? 🥲

17 month old not walking

My son has just turned 17 months and still isn’t walking, he can crawl, pull himself up on things & cruise along furniture. He’s also able to take a few steps if we play a game of back & fourth but gives up quite quickly.

I think he may be double jointed, I’ve spent far too long on Google & im really concerned / starting to not sleep because of it.

Has anyone had any positive outcomes?
I feel like I’m not doing enough etc 😩

Grunting, straining, red faced… HELP

my little one is just over 3 weeks and honestly I think he spends every night from 3am onwards grunting, straining, stretching his legs out and passing wind until about 6am. The only way he will sleep is if he is on my tummy down as this seems to give him comfort but it’s hard for me to not fall asleep when this happens! We have taken him to the doctors and they said he’s just a baby basically🤷‍♀️ he poos fine, passes wind throughout the night all night, burps after every feed I just cannot work out why he does it! Please can I have some advice or at least someone who is in the same boat 😭😭

Doing so much better

Just wanted to make a post to any other new mums out there who are fixated on your baby’s sleep.
For the first three months it was all I could focus on, making sure she got enough daytime sleep to help stretch out her nights / focused heavily on wake windows. I realised I became obsessive and it was making motherhood so rigid.
For the past few weeks I have thrown it all out the window and have trusted my instinct, stopped tracking on huckleberry and very loosely follow the clock but more so look at my baby’s cues.
Her sleep is still very much up and down but she has given me night stretches of 6 hours at times. The one significant improvement has been in myself and my enjoyment of motherhood. I actually feel free? 🤣
I know schedules work for some but ultimately wake windows are just an average and every baby is different.
I really would recommend to anyone who is struggling with this to just put everything down even for a few days and see if you notice a difference in yourself
I’m here if anyone wants to chat about the wormhole of sleep, the routine of searching everything on Google and the worry of everyday feeling like a battle of naps 💕
