Anyone else have this? I wanna hear ur story’s if ur ok sharing them! Positive or negative!

Baby has own cot for when he is ready. He is 6 month old and still waking every 2 hours to feed he wont be moving till A he can sleep through the night and B when he is ready. As long as your following safe sleep ignore others. When we go on holiday we put the mattress on the floor and if its still a bit soft i put a yoga mat under the sheet for him. 6 month on he is still alive no scares and no owlett alarms 👌 there is some family members who think he should be in his own bed and i just say okay.

I love cosleeping with him (even if he did poke my eye out accidently last night) there is atually a decreased chance of side over cribs if you follow safe sleep to he can hear you breathe and helps him to regulate his breathing which is pretty cool.

If this was me and I just wanted to get her off my back, I'd let her buy it, set it up, take a photo with bub in it the once and tell her it's going great, then just wait until we are actually ready 😅

I’d honestly just tell her to stop mentioning it and unless it becomes an issue for you then it’s not up for discussion. This is your child not hers, and you can’t ruin a baby by sharing your bed. I haven’t had this, but have had family go on and on when mine was little about weaning early, not carrying her too much, letting her cry and a bunch of other nonsense they didn’t actually know anything about. Ask them what’s their issue with your baby being close to their mother and they stutter. 🙄

my mil has been nagging me about the same thing. my boy is now nearly a year old and still sleeps with me. i tell her that im willing to take the risk because most of the time they only msg because they don’t think you see the risks of it. if it gets to an argument i ask why she cares who is in my infants bed 😂 id rather it be me than anyone else.

Actually at 6 months it's less dangerous because they start becoming more mobile, especially if you're following safe sleep guidelines and have a safe set up.

I've spent many nights being like omg I'm so glad you're not in a cot!

This is very much a western culture issue. If you look into places like Japan, they have the lowest SIDs rates and one of the highest cosleeping rates.

You could definitely just tell her it's not up for discussion and you're going to completely ignore her if she brings it up again. If what you actually want is to convince her, it sounds like there are two different arguments she's making. One is safety but the other is that you're "ruining" her, which presumably means she thinks a baby will never be independent if they sleep in their parent's bed.

I generally note to people who are questioning me that the safety statistics are incredibly skewed by combining careful, intentional cosleeping in a properly prepared bed with people falling asleep by accident with their baby in chairs and on couches and people who are intoxicated. It's ridiculous and makes zero sense.

How to settle night wakings without feeding

My EBF baby responds very well to feeds overnight to fall straight back asleep after waking. I’m conscious this isn’t a long term solution and we need a way of settling him without feeding.

He won’t take a dummy, patting/ hand on chest/shushing etc in crib doesn’t settle him. If I get him out of his crib he’s still distressed and I have to walk around with him for a long time and often still end up needing to feed him to get him back to sleep.

It’s especially hard at night as i also need my sleep and it’s far easier and quicker to quick feed and back to sleep.

Any advice on how I can settle overnight without the feeds?

Every night for 3 hours

20 month old starts off crying for the first hour (has cuddles) then the next 2 hours he takes his sleep bag off and does this in the cot …

I have no idea what else to do😭

Hayden Panettiere😥

This is just super sad but I think it's important to talk about. Hayden passed yesterday & her daughter is 8 years old. Hayden struggled with substances (I believe before she had her daughter, no offense. I've been a big fan since I was 6 years old lol)

What makes me really sad is she didn't have a normal upbringing with her mom. She was forced to do commercials at 10 months old. I can only imagine how her mother tended to her. She was thrown into the screens of acting before being consistently put in gigs for commercials, & once she got a big one that was it for her mom. She forced her to act relentlessly. Whether they got the job or not.

3 months ago she wrote her autobiography & idk honestly if she's truly honest in it. Idk if she knew that how she was raised with such little endearment, love, time to be such a small human.. idk if she ever connected it. It honestly breaks my heart.

So I'm wondering, do you think she passed from addi***** or do you think it was a long time trickle effect of how she was raised? She gave her daughter up to the father early on due to her issues she battled with. I'm not here to state she's a monster, I am just so sad she wasn't whole when she passed. Truly.

I personally believe that we are a product of who raised us, & that is what ultimately lead to her d**** 😢😭 I bet she wasn't loved or consoled even for bumping her head as a toddler that we would even stop to hold ours for a moment, I bet her mom let her cry it out for hours at a time & I bet she hurt her/ disciplined/ scared her into making her an actress. It's so sad. But I think what hurts most is idk if she ever knew that/ wanted to cross that bridge either. & maybe that's why she chased another reality? It makes absolute sense why she didn't fight custody and gave it right away.. so sad.

When does catnapping stop?

My LO is 4 months old and for the last one month has been napping only for 30 minutes chunks during the day unless contact napping. When can I expect and hope for this to get better?

Sleeping on your back

Hi guys, I've been told so many different things about ways of sleeping. I try to sleep on my left but I always find I sleep on my back. Is this ok?
