Very early on in that first year I considered it a few times as were long distance often and I did wonder if it would be worth it.

Fast forward and it’s been 11 years of happiness.

We had a blip before we had our daughter when I questioned if I was doing the right thing by being with him but we worked through it and I haven’t thought about it since. We have disagreements but it’s always with the attitude of how are we going to fix this, splitting up isn’t anything either of us thinks about now.

We almost divorced. We were separated and lived separately

Twice, once right before I got pregnant. I knew it was coming, we were having real bad money issues (bad habits really) and I was there tbh, but I just couldn't see past the love we had for each other. 2nd time was 3 months pp, had been arguing on/off for weeks, again bad money problems. Just needing more help and we both were not in a good headspace and it got loud for the first time. We made up better than we ever did before, things happen but if the love can survive so can y'all. (Depending on the situation of course)

Views on a situation please!

So me and my partner have been together 6 years, engaged for 3, baby girl who is now 19 months old.

Living situation me and my daughter live with my parents but my partner lives on his RAF Base / his parents on a weekend when he comes home ( Friday to Sunday ).

We put an application form in for RAF Base Housing months ago. Nothing thinking we would be offered one due to not being married yet.

Yesterday ( Monday ) we got an email to say we have been offered a 3 Bed house. The only issue is we are currently in gloucester, but the house on the base we have been offered is 2 hours away from home / work / nurseries for me.

I’ve been wanting to leave my current job for a while now as it’s slowly just getting worse and enjoyable anymore.

I’ve told my parents and they’ve said there happy for me to move out the only concern they have is the distance off the house we have been offered which I completely agree with.

I don’t know how I feel about being that far away from my family…

What would you do in my situation?

Am I being dramatic?

I had a fight with my baby daddy in which he took my 2 kids to his mom's house while I was at work & he said he "was not bringing them back" & that I can "visit". The following is a conversation I had with his mom. Am I in the wrong for wanting to keep my distance from her? For context, his mom is a heavy smoker (when we lived with her she never respected the fact that we had babies & would sometimes smoke weed inside.) She has a weird boyfriend that stalked her, hacked her phone, broke her windshield, slashed her tires & put a tracker in her car (he followed me to my mom's house with his best friend thinking I was her.) she lives at HIS house & she has always made her kids jealous of my babies (her daughter had a dream of killing my babies & just laughed it off when I asked if she would). Sorry this was long but I can also go into more details. My babies are 2 years and a 9 month old, exclusively breastfed & have NEVER slept away from me.. (my babies are with me, they did not stay there). He just made me feel "dramatic" for still being mad about it and not wanting to talk to his mom.

Would you stay or leave?

Long story short, me & my bf have a 2 year old.
My whole pregnancy and 2 years of my son being here hasn’t been easy. I had little support from my bf because he wanted to play golf all the time, be at the pub or worked late. He was an alcoholic and a heavy Ketamine user.. he quit a few weeks ago.
I forgave so many things, like him never supporting or spending time with us, not helping around the house, coming home in a bad way, having seizures or falling from too much drugs and alcohol.. it was scary. I forgave everything, even things like i planned a birthday day out and he got way too drunk, sniffed too much, we left early and he went to get more Ketamine. It ruined my plans and the day completely.

I said a couple months ago he needed to move out if he didn’t stop all of it, so he has.
But now i look back and can’t believe i let him treat me that way.. i feel traumatised and upset when i think back to all the things he had done. And it’s made me fall out of love with him.
But i know he is trying so hard to not go back to alcohol, drugs and is helping more and being present.
What should i do?

Ps, my son has never witnessed him being in a bad way, i have always kept our son in a different room or away from him completely.

Gifts

Do you give gifts to someone who comes to your house the first time or gifts when you go to someone's house for the first time? Or both?

Evening wedding

A close family member of mine is getting married, but it’s an evening wedding that starts at 6pm🫠 LO’s bedtime is between 7-8pm and I know there’s going to be a lot of hustle, bustle and noise and am not sure if I should go.
A part of me is saying it’s just for one evening, go, enjoy, have good food and see people I haven’t seen in a while.
But another part of me knows LO might get cranky, and I also feel guilty. My baby is not the type that falls asleep anywhere unfortunately so I know it could be difficult - would it then ultimately suck the fun out of the evening?
Any advice? What do you guys think I should do? To go or to not?

Looking for a bestie!

Hi! My name is Ally. I’m 28 and live in North Georgia. I’m a twinless twin mama to Everett who was born at 26 weeks. He is 10 months old now (7 months adjusted age).

I’m looking for friends either nearby, or elsewhere!

I love reading, crocheting, knitting, and decorating my house. I’m definitely more of a home body, but I love going out for a coffee and book shopping.

I’ve been with my husband for almost 7 years now and we love playing board games together, thrifting/antique shopping and trying new restaurants.

I’m a blue dot in a red state and have love for people from all walks of life.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you!
