Baby using breast as dummy

Hello, My 3 month old exclusively breast fed baby is using my breast like a dummy. If he wakes up at night, he cries until its back in. He wont take a bottle or a dummy, does anyone have any suggestions as my nipples are definitely feeling sore from all the use!

Try your little finger, i know its not a great stop gap but its still you which most of the time is what they want.

I say this with all the love in the world, but try and reframe your thinking. Dummies were invented to be a replacement for the breast, not the other way round.

What your baby is doing is actually the most natural thing. I know it's exhausting, but it won't last forever.

It’s tough to remember this but the other girls are right. It hurts sometimes (or all the time). I’m in the same boat and was with my first baby as well. I just try to remind myself how this will pass and how lucky and blessed I am to be my babies home. It does fade eventually

He has been going to sleep at 8:30pm and sleeping through until 5:30/6am. Now he has started stirring at around 1:30am-4am. He will groan and grunt and then cry and wake himself up? Anyone gone through something similar and what did you do

Feeding to sleep

I know a lot of us feed to sleep and that babies are biologically wired to do so. But what are we doing when a nap only lasts 30 mins and the wake window is then over in 1.5 hours… its only been 2 hours since the last feed so are we feeding again for the next nap? This is what I’m struggling the most with right now! My baby has definitely formed a feed to sleep association so it’s a lot harder to get them to nap without a feed.

Help

I have a two month old little girl and her eyes keep shaking constantly and she’s not acting herself I took her to the paediatrician and they said there’s nothing wrong with her and that I’m just anxious when they never looked at her properly and I’m just worried about what’s causing it

Urgent sleep help needed!

My little girl is 16 months and had co slept with us until 14 months. She has been in a small cot in our room up until recently. Shes been in her own room a few weeks now but her sleeping is terrible. It’s taking most night 1.5/2 hours to get her to sleep. Then when she is asleep we try to creep out, the second no one is in with her she wakes up and screams. It doesn’t matter if I crawl out, do it gradually or walk out she just knows.

I’m just exhausted. I’m up half the night with her each night now, I have no evenings. She’s tired everyday because she’s not sleeping enough. It’s just exhausting. Any advice?

A big part is definitely separation anxiety, my husband thinks we need to let her cry it out… It’s a big change going in her own room without us, I just don’t know what to do for the best.

Right now everyone’s shattered.

Anyone been in a similar situation and any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks so much :)

When to have another baby?

I had a baby girl in May and she is amazing! I’ve always wanted two children and was wondering what the best age gaps are? However looking at her now I couldn’t imagine my attention being also on another child and already feel guilt for wanting another baby. I feel like this will change when she’s a little older and might even be asking for a little brother or sister by that point.
Is it wait till then until she understands more or have one in about 12 months so she would never know any different.
I think because she is so great it’s made me want another really bad but some people have said that the first one tricks you into having another and then the second child is a lot harder 🙈😩
Am I over thinking all of this because I know people have babts at all different stages in life but then main problem for me is the guilt I will for all the attention not being on my baby girl

Colostrum collection & healed nipple piercings

Hi ladies - this is such a weird one I’m so sorry 🤦🏽‍♀️

I have a question for any BF mum or colostrum collecting mum-to-be that previously had or still has a nipple piercing. I’ve been collecting colostrum for nearly 2 weeks now and find that the nipple I didn’t have pierced expresses way more than the one that was pierced (I took it out at 12 weeks so it could heal before breastfeeding).

I’m so scared this will impact my supply from that breast and was wondering if anyone had experienced the same thing or if it was normal to have one breast that produces more in general, regardless of a piercing?
