My baby is exclusively breastfed and was born 25th centile and then rapidly went up to 75th centile in 3 weeks and was tracking 75th centile. He is 12 weeks on Monday and I weighed him at home (weighed myself, then me holding him and subtract), I know it’s not gonna be fully accurate but give or take, he is now on 97% centile.
I kept hearing ‘you can’t overfeed a breastfed baby’ but now i’m worried. Everyone is commenting on his weight. Anyone else experience such rapid weight gain? Did you do anything about it?

I don’t think its a problem. Some babies are bigger than others. If your health visitor is ok then its ok . :)

Well done mama you are doing an amazing job feeding him! My health visitor said my baby is very big (99.6th percentile) but she isn’t concerned as he’s breastfed so I can’t be overfeeding him. I just think it’s a shame how quickly these big babies get through clothes as there’s been so many lovely items he hasn’t worn 🥺

Mine has also gone up a lot. He is jumping lines on the weight chart, and every dr/ health visitor etc applaud this and seem to get excited 😂 They are like "look at this!" and want to show me. So I think it must be a good thing!
Only downside is that he is soooo heavy. O m g. My poor arm and back 🥲
