I’m currently 24 weeks pregnant and my daughter is 16 months. She’s been a terrible sleeper since she turned one. While her night time sleeping has been a bit better this past month, she still sometimes wakes in the night and needs rocked back to sleep. My belly is starting to be big enough to where I can’t successfully transfer her back to the crib anymore, and she wakes because I can’t set her in without like plopping her in. This causes a super annoying cycle of having to pick her back up to get her back to sleep and then waking on transfer. This entire cycle can take sometimes up to two hours to get her back in to where she finally stays asleep. Idk what to do at this point. I’ve tried a step stool but it feels so unsteady for me to stand on to try to transfer and lean over the crib rail. Does anyone else have a similar issue or been through this and have recommendations? I’d really appreciate it!

Have you tried to letting her fall back asleep herself? My kids cry because of nightmares. They get up crying but they can settle themselves back asleep. I would give them 10-15 mins.

Im in the same boat! Im 30 weeks pregnant and my 1 yr old has gotten more clingy to me and will only want to sleep on top of me. What has worked for me, is letting him stay in his crib and he will fall asleep on his own. I make sure every light is off, white noise is on and make sure he doesn’t take a nap before bed time so we will be outside for a bit from 6-8 pm or stay downstairs playing with his toys. So far we are on day 3 of trying to let him put himself to sleep and its been working. I also stay next to his crib so he knows im here next to him.
