Feeding when the baby is sick
Hi all. My baby is sick (11 months) and breastfeeding. I love breastfeeding her, but it obviously can be tiring. When she is sick all she wants to do is be on my nipple - not even drink milk, just know that it is there for comfort. I feel like such an awful mom for asking, but is there any advice on how she won’t notice that my nipple is gone for a minute when I go pee or something?? Like last night she was on my nipple ALL NIGHT LONG and the slightest move from me woke her up…
Now that she is unwell she forgets about the no biting so nipples are going through it atm.

Can you slip a pacifier into her mouth when she’s asleep? My LO will not typically take a paci, but if I slowly pull my nip out, i can pop one in if im super stealth like. That’ll usually give me a little freedom. 🥷🏻😅
What are her symptoms? Runny nose? Suck the mucus out ;$
Have you tried patting, rubbing her back, rocking, or cuddling instead of immediately putting her back on the breast?
I would just let her cry honestly. If I need to go so badly that I almost pee my pants I would unlatch but for sleep idk my baby doesn't roll so I just sleep with him on my chest but put him on his side so he can still breath I put my baby chest to chest but his cheek is on me
I'm sorry that you have a baby like that. I also have a velcro baby and it isn't fun. My husband doesn't want anyone stepping foot in our house because it's such a mess. I love holding him but I also like a clean house

Tilting the Next to Me
Does anyone have any advice? My midwife recommended tilting our next to me slightly to help with my baby’s mucous issue however the health visitor really advised against it - but annoyingly tilting it worked? Baby is 3 weeks old and refusing to lie on his back flat as he just wakes up straight away 🥴🫠

Is it bad that my son is not the centre of my universe
We are 6 weeks in with my little boy. I adore him, he brings a smile face whenever I look at him.
However I do not think he is the centre of my universe.
I am a planet with multiple suns and my son is one of them perhaps one of the bigger ones but he is not the only sun in my life.
Is this unusual to say and feel ?

Naps
So far I've had a relatively easy time as a first time mam, but at 11 weeks my little girl has started having predictable 2hr cycles of maybe a 10-15mins of waking happy, playful, then nappy, feed, followed by screaming and crying until she's back to sleep. It seems like she just wants to be asleep all the time. But it takes a combination of darkness, quiet, white noise or boob to be able to get her off. My whole days seem to be fighting her to help her sleep. Is this normal and how long does this phase usually last? 🙈

Is there a difference in intelligence between formula fed and breast fed
Apparently breast fed are more clever and hit their milestones early is this true ???
