I felt very similar my first trimester being so sick it caused major depression and it felt never ending. Know you are not alone in what you are feeling and going through. Reaching out to people who you know can be a support or therapy is very helpful and finding distractions like tv shows or small things to look forward too kind of help but know this WILL go away even though it doesn’t feel like it. Also take to her obgyn about nausea meds

i felt the same way, i had hg my whole pregnancy but the misery was worst in the first two trimesters. you aren't alone and it won't be forever. and since my daughter was born it's all felt worth it

You're not alone! I'm 14 weeks and my whole first trimester was so so difficult especially working full time, I was sick and exhausted the entire time, and even now so early in my second trimester it's not much better yet. I also am not enjoying being pregnant so don't feel guilty, talk to friends or family and ask your doctor for resources that can help you navigate these challenges. Mental health is still SO important so try to find things that help you get through the day.

Nurse here: Ohhh girl I am I am sorry that you are having a hard time right now. Your body is working overtime and your hormones are doubled since you are carrying twins ( the huge shift in hormones drives the nausea).
I know you said you don’t want to eat and I get that- truly I do but low blood sugar is going to make the nausea worse. Try bland foods, crackers, bananas toast…smoothies if you don’t want anything solid. Sucking on sour candies can help the nausea as well. Have you talked to your doctor about the nausea? There are meds that can help. Most common is diclectin but if that doesn’t help and you are consistently throwing up there are others.
Does your dr do phone appointments? Just wondering so don’t have to worry about getting to the clinic and sit in the office.
Lastly. Have you thought about getting a midwife? They are great supports for moms before and after the babies come. They are there for you and not just the babies.

Sounds like you have really tried a few things to try and settle the nausea. Don’t give up. There are a ton of other meds out there that can help with the nausea. Some of them work on your stomach acid to and protect the lining of your stomach which causes nausea . Have you gone to the er for the nausea? They could boost your hydration via iv and get you on some better meds.

Food shop, no car?

Hiya, I'm a FTM to a 9 week old baby and I do not drive.
I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do a food shop with the buggy (basinet or carseat).
Please can someone explain it like I'm a 2 year old 😂.
I am more than happy to babywear if thats part of the solution.
Asda have the carseat trolleys which I thought was a good idea (carseat clips onto buggy) but then I'd have nowhere for the bottom of the buggy to go, is there somewhere they'll let me leave it? 😂🤦🏻‍♀️
Wedging a basket on the pram while babys in the carrier is not cutting it anymore 😂

Accountability/apologising/emotional manipulation

I guess I am not going incognito because if anyone wanted to reach out they could

Throughout my current relationship (4.5years) it has been made clear to me that i have a lot of unattractive and difficult traits. I guess prior to meeting my partner I just believed I was just how I was? I had never done "deep inner work" " spiritual work" "self improvement" i had done it professionally and i guess i had phases where physically i did better but ultimately I have been told and i do see a lot of it that i find it hard to say sorry, to take accountability, i feel constantly attacked and offended and any conflict does make me most of the time walk out or say i need space i find it so over whelming.

Im currently having my 3rd baby in 3.5years and my son (2yrs2mo) had a liver transplant when he was 7mo old so a lot of hospital time, also my partner had a long long history of drug addiction which he overcame but he has not worked 95% of our relationship, i did before my 1st and 2nd but not since my son was diagnosed at 7wks old.

Im asking for maybe someone somewhere for advice or a chat, i keep feeling like im a narcissist, a bad mom a bad partner, i feel like my family are better off without me sometimes YET i have always tried so so hard to keep our whole life together shielding my family from any outside shit and ive handled every prescription/appointment, i do 99% of the housework and cooking, im not in contact with family and i cut off all my old friends pretty much then moved 4hrs away so no social support

Is anyone hearing this?

Thanks fran x

Sleeping

Hi, last night me and my newborn (2 weeks today) fell asleep last night and I forgot to set my alarm for 3hrs and we both slept for about 6hrs without her waking up to feed, usually she’d start getting fussy and start crying so I’d wake up anyways but she didn’t last night only woke up and started being fussy 6hrs later

I fed her and changed her nappy immediately she drank about 3oz and I feel so bad and am so worried , she seems absolutely fine but went straight back to sleep after feeding

Is she going to be okay? I genuinely feel so so bad and don’t know what to do, she’s gained 6oz since birth (weighed 4 days ago) and never lost any of her weight shed gained an oz by day 5

Putting baby down

My baby girl is only a week old, so I understand this post may seem silly!
However, during the nights, I’m finding it difficult to transfer her back to her crib after getting her back to sleep following a nappy change and bottle. She stays on me for a good 20-30mins (if not, sometimes longer) after her feed so I know she’s in a deep sleep. As soon as I move her to her crib, she wakes up immediately and cries. My heart absolutely aches for her because I love the contact naps, but last night I could feel myself nodding off with her on my chest so I know I can’t safely allow her to do it during the night. During the day she’s absolutely fine. Does anyone have any advice on what may help, please?
She hates the swaddle haha, my scent is on her sheet, I soothe her when I put her down…I’ve done pretty much all the tricks that I’ve read upon!
I know it may seem silly considering her age, but I’m thinking from a safety perspective and would appreciate any advice!
Thank you in advance :) x

Baby acne solution

Yall I have to share in case anyone else is struggling with this.. my daughter’s poor face was getting worse by the day with baby acne and dry patches. I tried aquaphor, Vaseline, breast milk, dove sensitive lotion- looked worse not better. One night after using Tubby Todd colloidal oatmeal ointment and we noticed immediate improvement. This is now, about 5 days after we started using it. It is expensive, but I’m so glad we tried it!

Why is he like this? 😒

My partner does this thing when we’re arguing or discussing something that’s where he’ll be talking and tuck my hair behind my ear or run his finger over my face. He doesn’t necessarily always say somthing cruel while doing it but sometime does. The absolute worst part of it is that even though I discourage it internally I love it 😢 We’re both actively seeking therapy.
