Hi, last night me and my newborn (2 weeks today) fell asleep last night and I forgot to set my alarm for 3hrs and we both slept for about 6hrs without her waking up to feed, usually she’d start getting fussy and start crying so I’d wake up anyways but she didn’t last night only woke up and started being fussy 6hrs later
I fed her and changed her nappy immediately she drank about 3oz and I feel so bad and am so worried , she seems absolutely fine but went straight back to sleep after feeding
Is she going to be okay? I genuinely feel so so bad and don’t know what to do, she’s gained 6oz since birth (weighed 4 days ago) and never lost any of her weight shed gained an oz by day 5

My 4 week old slept 7 hours straight through, woke up to feed and then slept for another 2.
Yes, they say never to let them go past 3 hours to feed, but they’ll tell you when they’re hungry. If they’re asleep, for the most part, you don’t have to wake them, unless they haven’t had enough feeds throughout the day. She’ll be fine.
Sometimes they’ll feed more and cluster feed, other times, they’ll feed less.
Then sleeping for long chunks is okay, just not all the time. Occasionally is fine. But they will tell you when they’re hungry, and they’ll wake up if they are too.
You’re all good. There’s nothing wrong with a newborn actually sleeping a good decent amount in one go, at least you got a good 6hours of shut eye.

If she’s over her birth weight and feeding well in the day I would leave her to sleep and enjoy it!! Chances are she won’t do this consistently so make the most of it! I’m a midwife and I never set alarms to feed overnight once my baby was back to birth weight ❤️

You’re absolutely fine. She told you what she needed and you responded x
Hiya, I'm a FTM to a 9 week old baby and I do not drive.
I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do a food shop with the buggy (basinet or carseat).
Please can someone explain it like I'm a 2 year old 😂.
I am more than happy to babywear if thats part of the solution.
Asda have the carseat trolleys which I thought was a good idea (carseat clips onto buggy) but then I'd have nowhere for the bottom of the buggy to go, is there somewhere they'll let me leave it? 😂🤦🏻♀️
Wedging a basket on the pram while babys in the carrier is not cutting it anymore 😂

I guess I am not going incognito because if anyone wanted to reach out they could
Throughout my current relationship (4.5years) it has been made clear to me that i have a lot of unattractive and difficult traits. I guess prior to meeting my partner I just believed I was just how I was? I had never done "deep inner work" " spiritual work" "self improvement" i had done it professionally and i guess i had phases where physically i did better but ultimately I have been told and i do see a lot of it that i find it hard to say sorry, to take accountability, i feel constantly attacked and offended and any conflict does make me most of the time walk out or say i need space i find it so over whelming.
Im currently having my 3rd baby in 3.5years and my son (2yrs2mo) had a liver transplant when he was 7mo old so a lot of hospital time, also my partner had a long long history of drug addiction which he overcame but he has not worked 95% of our relationship, i did before my 1st and 2nd but not since my son was diagnosed at 7wks old.
Im asking for maybe someone somewhere for advice or a chat, i keep feeling like im a narcissist, a bad mom a bad partner, i feel like my family are better off without me sometimes YET i have always tried so so hard to keep our whole life together shielding my family from any outside shit and ive handled every prescription/appointment, i do 99% of the housework and cooking, im not in contact with family and i cut off all my old friends pretty much then moved 4hrs away so no social support
Is anyone hearing this?
Thanks fran x

My baby girl is only a week old, so I understand this post may seem silly!
However, during the nights, I’m finding it difficult to transfer her back to her crib after getting her back to sleep following a nappy change and bottle. She stays on me for a good 20-30mins (if not, sometimes longer) after her feed so I know she’s in a deep sleep. As soon as I move her to her crib, she wakes up immediately and cries. My heart absolutely aches for her because I love the contact naps, but last night I could feel myself nodding off with her on my chest so I know I can’t safely allow her to do it during the night. During the day she’s absolutely fine. Does anyone have any advice on what may help, please?
She hates the swaddle haha, my scent is on her sheet, I soothe her when I put her down…I’ve done pretty much all the tricks that I’ve read upon!
I know it may seem silly considering her age, but I’m thinking from a safety perspective and would appreciate any advice!
Thank you in advance :) x

Yall I have to share in case anyone else is struggling with this.. my daughter’s poor face was getting worse by the day with baby acne and dry patches. I tried aquaphor, Vaseline, breast milk, dove sensitive lotion- looked worse not better. One night after using Tubby Todd colloidal oatmeal ointment and we noticed immediate improvement. This is now, about 5 days after we started using it. It is expensive, but I’m so glad we tried it!

My partner does this thing when we’re arguing or discussing something that’s where he’ll be talking and tuck my hair behind my ear or run his finger over my face. He doesn’t necessarily always say somthing cruel while doing it but sometime does. The absolute worst part of it is that even though I discourage it internally I love it 😢 We’re both actively seeking therapy.
