Nursing chair

I am having my first child in December and currently getting things for the nursery.
Do you think nursing chairs are needed?

I didn’t use one until my daughter was in her own room at 7 months old- before that I’d just feed her in my bed before putting her back in her next2me. After she was in her own room I used it all the time to feed her in the evening at during the night.

nope not needed! use cushions and sit on the bed

We got one but didn’t use it until she was in her own room which was about 8 months. Now we feed her and do bedtime in there and it works really well for us ☺️ Gets her used to the room and bedtime routine I feel!

Not needed, it depends on what you prefer.. I like to nurse in bed but I also get a bad back from doing this and the nursing chair really helps with this. It also helps me to stay awake when I’m so tired cause the bed is too easy to drift off while holding my LO. It’s nice to have the option. It’s the same with changing tables, a lot of people just change wherever you are, but it’s actually really saved my back and I use mine all the time cause you don’t have to bend.

If you have the space and money I would say yes I love it ( I don’t have one ) but used to go to John Lewis ( near my house ) all the time to use it 😝

For us it was a must have! We’ve always settled our boy to bed, and got him changed and fed when he wakes in the night in his room (mainly to make sure the other person not on wake ups doesn’t get disturbed) and for that the nursing chair was a must!

Yes 100% saves my back when feeding her at night, I take her to the nursery for night feeds to not wake my partner and he does the same on his turn. The chair is a life-saver and I love it

Definitely helpful for the back.

100% I couldn’t really get comfortable feeding in bed and found it really hard to stay awake so ended up using it properly a few weeks in and still use it now at 16months, feed her before bed and then to read stories together too! I didn’t initially want one but was very glad my partner convinced me. Although we got an armchair not a nursing chair

Wouldn’t be without our obaby rocking reclining chair👌😍

Nursery being truthful?

I feel like the nursery my lo goes to isn't 100% truthful about the food they offer. They have this whole menu they advertise when you walk around which shows things like fish pie or shephards pie but then in the notes it will say my little one ate cheesy mash or today on pick up they said she refused 'party food' which was chicken nuggets, crisps etc... I look in the app and it says on the menu today is cauliflower and macaroni cheese...

Nursery fees for 2 year olds

We have been told by my daughter’s nursery that the monthly fees are going to jump from 141 a month to 503 a month after 30 hours funding (and before tax free childcare). This is such a huge jump! I queried why, and it’s because the government pay less per hour apparently for over 2 year olds. But now I’m looking online it’s because of the staff ratio is less. Has anyone else had this experience or is it just our nursery?

How do I stop my 3 year old from harming my newborn?

Please someone else me I am at my whits end!! I’ve been struggling with my 3 year olds behaviour for a while now however it’s hit an all time low as he’s starting to hurt his baby sister. He’s constantly hitting her, throwing toys at her, jumping on the couch/bed right next to her and I just don’t know what to do anymore I’m really drained over it all. I absolutely love him to pieces but I feel like I can’t be his mum anymore 😭😭😭😭 I’m trying to go down the adhd route with him however because he’s 3 nobody will even entertain it

Emotional thermostat of the family

I seem to be the emotional thermostat of the family - including my husband.
If I have an off day, EVERY BODY has an off day.
Like this morning I was very tired due to being six months pregnant and sleep being disturbed by all the usual things. My husband gets stressed out dealing with our son so I have to (no I didn’t have to but felt if I didn’t we would have a blow up on our hands) step in and be voice of reason between the two.
I literally can’t have a day where I feel crap and someone else holds the emotional fort?!?
The last time this happened I was newly pregnant and feeling nauseous and emotional, because of this the rest of the household was dysregulated and I broke down in tears at my midwife appoint.
Am I being unreasonable that I feel exasperated by this?
I feel like a total monster because of it, I don’t go around slamming doors or shouting at people - I’m sharper in tone and a bit grumpy yes. My husband gets super triggered by this though.
I grew up in a household where we had to tiptoe around our parents’ moods so I am so aware and so adamant I will not put my kids through that. But what if I am?? 😢
Feeling vulnerable so please be kind in your responses, I know it’s easy to project our own stuff on to other people’s business, especially when we don’t know the full story, so please assume I am a good person trying to do better. Thank you 🙏

Seeking ideas for play time 6mo

Hi all. Sometimes I struggle with finding creative ideas for play time when we have rainy days and spend them at home. We don’t have a lot of toys as we only have small house and I don’t want it overrun with toys everywhere. Any advice welcomed.
Thank you in advance

Delulu baby daddy moving expectations

So this man won his settlement
And wants to move ASAP
While telling me not to renew my lease and do month to month which will raise my rent to 1k.
Btw the only real Income coming in is me monthly I also pay all bills on my own....
Before you ask no he hasn't offered to help me pay bills....none. With his bad credit and no work mixed with my income with good credit but massive debt it'll be so hard to find a spot. To make it worse I have a record.....
I want to renew my lease and just break it when the time comes ya know cause these are terrible people and we live in a mold infested apartment.

Hes expectations are out there compared to the reality of our situation.
If I go behind his back and renew he will FLIP OUT on me. These folks have already found ways to make me suffer by not fixing stuff or deleting work tickets.... Imagine if I do month to month they legit can just boot me whenever
