I feel like the nursery my lo goes to isn't 100% truthful about the food they offer. They have this whole menu they advertise when you walk around which shows things like fish pie or shephards pie but then in the notes it will say my little one ate cheesy mash or today on pick up they said she refused 'party food' which was chicken nuggets, crisps etc... I look in the app and it says on the menu today is cauliflower and macaroni cheese...

I would recommend bringing it up to the manager and questioning it as nursery typically shouldn’t be offering those types of food unless it is a special occasion as it’s not nutritious or healthy which they are required to provide x

I’d just ask. Ours went through a week or so where the system hadn’t updated with the new menu so they couldn’t add stuff to the app (unless done manually which obviously they don’t have time to do for each child) so we would ask at the end of the day so “we didn’t double up for tea” and then would say “oh but it said on the app XYZ?” - then they explained the above. Any chance the cheesy mash was part of the shepherd’s pie for example and that’s the only thing she ate? Party food is more common than I expected but you should be able to add a note to file to say you want to opt out of those kinds of meals / certain foods.
I think today was the summer party so it was a special occasion but generally it seems like she is offered a jacket potato and if she refuses that is given a sandwich... you are right! Will definitely query x

A lot of the time over summer holidays they do simpler meals cos there are a lot less children.

Our nursery runs a different menu in the summer holidays due to the amount of children, the heat and who is cooking as the normal cook may have holidays
Good afternoon Mamas , I would like to know your baby’s experiences at nursery’s , as I’m struggling with Anxiety, I have a 1 y6 months toodler and I would love put her for just 3 hours 2 days a week just to have contact with other kids so it’s good for her wellbeing , but I’m having difficulties , as I’m a SUPER PROTECTIVE mum , I know that it’s good for my mental health too ! I will really appreciate ✨🤎 thank you

We have been told by my daughter’s nursery that the monthly fees are going to jump from 141 a month to 503 a month after 30 hours funding (and before tax free childcare). This is such a huge jump! I queried why, and it’s because the government pay less per hour apparently for over 2 year olds. But now I’m looking online it’s because of the staff ratio is less. Has anyone else had this experience or is it just our nursery?

My partner doesn’t seem to enjoy my company like he used to I feel. I’ve been going through a lot lately with plans, our daughter, I’m trying to get back into shape, taking care of the house and keeping him happy. Not to mention I’ve been trying to be involved in planning for my sisters Bridal shower and wedding. Lately I’ve just lost control and I’ve had an attitude with him because I feel a little resentment. When we go out I’m always busy taking care of the baby while he has fun. I’m always home but I’m always busy, he comes home and does what ever he wants to do but I’m always catering to him and taking care of things around the house. He tells me that these things can wait, but if any of you know, if you fall behind on house chores they get waaaay too out of control and it’s hard to catch up.. Am I being the victim?? Do I just have a victim mindset?? I just want him to notice the things I do.
I noticed something the other day, that he remembered that I promised sex because I was too tired. I said that I’d make it up to him and I did. He remembered that because he reminded me TWICE.. But I can ask him 3 times to clean the beer cans off the back porch and clean out the coolers and he doesn’t do it.
All he has to do when he comes home is take out the trash and clean up his messes he makes. He can’t even do that.. when I try talking to him about it he turns it around on me. It happens every time and I’m always the one apologizing.
Please I need help, just come words of advice of just something to say to him. I’m really running out of things to say nicely. I’m struggling to speak for myself and communicate and it’s coming out in frustration and attitude.

Hello ladies. I am scheduled to travel alone with my son this October on a 14 hour flight.
Looking for tips specifically on below:-
- navigating airport. I suppose it’s not possible to bring a cabin trolley luggage since I have to push a stroller at the same time. How to pack baby essentials?
- on flight - the flight will take off at 9pm. What time should I put my son to sleep? What do I entertain him on a 14 hour flight?
- any other thoughts / recommendations?
Thanks in advance!

It doesnt matter what meal or what size it takes my nearly 5 year old son over an hour to eat.
Im tempted to out a timer in front of him so he can visualise how long he has as he ends up so late.
Would I be wrong for doing so?
