Please someone else me I am at my whits end!! I’ve been struggling with my 3 year olds behaviour for a while now however it’s hit an all time low as he’s starting to hurt his baby sister. He’s constantly hitting her, throwing toys at her, jumping on the couch/bed right next to her and I just don’t know what to do anymore I’m really drained over it all. I absolutely love him to pieces but I feel like I can’t be his mum anymore 😭😭😭😭 I’m trying to go down the adhd route with him however because he’s 3 nobody will even entertain it

Bless him, he probably feels left out. Maybe try doing activities with him, without the baby. Or involve him helping with the baby.

I had this problem and they do grow out of it eventually.. I feel at 3 probably come out of this phase sooner rather than later.. sorry I don’t have any advice as I was at my wits end too because I had newborn girl boy twins and a just over 1.5year old son and it went on for ages the “hitting/scratching/throwingtoys phase”
I knew my then 1.5 year old was jealous because of the divided attention and took a while adjust but I felt every time he hit them I’d tell him calmly and firmly that’s not the right thing to do and kind soft hands etc lol before you know it they’ll be playing with each other, at the time it’s a lot but it will get easier.. my twins now just turned 3 and i feel that my year old boy twin would most probably do that if i had a newborn 😅 also good to try and distract them for example give them a toy they haven’t seen for ages/activity to do xx

Sorry you’re going through this! My firstborn (although wasn’t trying to hurt baby) did struggle a lot of jealousy in the beginning. The thing that helped me the most was sitting down with him and showing him photos and videos of when he was born and when he was small. And then I’d tell him stories about what he was like, and what we had to do to protect him and basically guided the stories to deal with whatever the issue was if that makes sense. Then he seems so much more protective of lil bro. I don’t know if that’ll help 🤷🏼♀️

I've been sort of trying to prepare for an older child/ baby transition and some of the advice I've found or been given so far is as follows: buy a gift for the older child and explain that it is a gift from the baby as a starting point, try to include the older child by having them help out with the baby in a hands off way such as helping pick out outfits or grab wipes during a change etc
Otherwise we're just planning to basically helicopter parent the children when they're in the same room, try and redirect the behaviour into something else... Haven't actually gotten to try any of this out so I don't know how helpful it is 🤷🏼♀️ but that's what I have so far
Indirect jibes are subtle, passive-aggressive remarks or veiled criticisms meant to mock or undermine someone without confronting them openly.
This is what she’s like. In my own home. I’m sick and tired of it.. what do you ladies suggest?

I feel like the nursery my lo goes to isn't 100% truthful about the food they offer. They have this whole menu they advertise when you walk around which shows things like fish pie or shephards pie but then in the notes it will say my little one ate cheesy mash or today on pick up they said she refused 'party food' which was chicken nuggets, crisps etc... I look in the app and it says on the menu today is cauliflower and macaroni cheese...

We have been told by my daughter’s nursery that the monthly fees are going to jump from 141 a month to 503 a month after 30 hours funding (and before tax free childcare). This is such a huge jump! I queried why, and it’s because the government pay less per hour apparently for over 2 year olds. But now I’m looking online it’s because of the staff ratio is less. Has anyone else had this experience or is it just our nursery?

Good afternoon Mamas , I would like to know your baby’s experiences at nursery’s , as I’m struggling with Anxiety, I have a 1 y6 months toodler and I would love put her for just 3 hours 2 days a week just to have contact with other kids so it’s good for her wellbeing , but I’m having difficulties , as I’m a SUPER PROTECTIVE mum , I know that it’s good for my mental health too ! I will really appreciate ✨🤎 thank you

My partner doesn’t seem to enjoy my company like he used to I feel. I’ve been going through a lot lately with plans, our daughter, I’m trying to get back into shape, taking care of the house and keeping him happy. Not to mention I’ve been trying to be involved in planning for my sisters Bridal shower and wedding. Lately I’ve just lost control and I’ve had an attitude with him because I feel a little resentment. When we go out I’m always busy taking care of the baby while he has fun. I’m always home but I’m always busy, he comes home and does what ever he wants to do but I’m always catering to him and taking care of things around the house. He tells me that these things can wait, but if any of you know, if you fall behind on house chores they get waaaay too out of control and it’s hard to catch up.. Am I being the victim?? Do I just have a victim mindset?? I just want him to notice the things I do.
I noticed something the other day, that he remembered that I promised sex because I was too tired. I said that I’d make it up to him and I did. He remembered that because he reminded me TWICE.. But I can ask him 3 times to clean the beer cans off the back porch and clean out the coolers and he doesn’t do it.
All he has to do when he comes home is take out the trash and clean up his messes he makes. He can’t even do that.. when I try talking to him about it he turns it around on me. It happens every time and I’m always the one apologizing.
Please I need help, just come words of advice of just something to say to him. I’m really running out of things to say nicely. I’m struggling to speak for myself and communicate and it’s coming out in frustration and attitude.
