I’m a FTM and I had such a quick and sudden delivery that even though my son is 2 months old, I genuinely still can’t believe he’s mine and that he’s here.
Jonah came a month early, 35.5 weeks. On my birthday! I labored for around 4 hours, pushed for 10 minutes and he was here. I was also up and about almost immediately after. Felt like superwoman until all my chronic illnesses came back lol

I was induced at 38 weeks because I had GD and my son was measuring large.
26 hours of labour. Didn’t feel a thing. I got the epidural before I was even 1cm dilated. Progressed well. Was on pitocin. My husband and I watched movies all night.
My epidural fell out at 7/8cm dilated and had to wait for the anesthesiologist who was in surgery to come back for a second. Holding still through contractions at that point to get a second really sucked and from going 0-100 pain was not ideal. 😅
After the second epidural, there was a shift change in doctors. And the second doctor noticed my son had flipped over/was breeched. So I had a c-section. It was quick, in the OR in 15 minutes.
I was up and walking same day. I had no issues moving or walking our dogs when I got home. Our house had 2 flights of stairs I climbed many times a day. Easy peasy.
I had some post birth complications but nothing slowed me down. We went on vacation 3 weeks PP. we went to trivia every tuesday for 2 years befo

My last one was a week past due, she was stubborn. I got induced and was in labor for 13hrs. Got the epidural at 7cm, it ended up failing so I felt everything once it was time to push. I did say I wanted to go natural I guess that was God's way of giving me what I asked for 😂.
I have my planned c section this week due to baby being 95th percentile and I don’t want to be induced im absolutely petrified I have never had surgery in my life, I’m also scared of the recovery but at the same time I cannot imagine being induced .
I have said if baby comes naturally before then I will try but yeah I also told family when it is and the judgemental comments have come rolling in which is making me doubt everything.
Any advice tips and tricks?

First time mums who are choosing to have a C-Section, what’s making you opt for it over vaginal birth? 🤔
