Why C-Section for first time birth?

I have fibroids and one is close to my birth canal so there’s a possibility I wouldn’t be able to have a natural birth anyway. That uncertainty means I’d rather just plan for a C-section rather than have it as a possible emergency procedure. I also feel a bit more in control knowing the date. Obviously the baby could come early anyway, so might all go out of the window anyway!

For me it’s my various health conditions. I have non-epileptic seizures which are triggered by fatigue/exhaustion, anxiety and stress and they just happen out of the blue as well. After the seizures I can lose the use of my legs and/or arms & they are absolutely exhausting.
I don’t want to be in a position where I can’t push because I’m unresponsive or put my baby in danger. Having an elective c-section gives me much more control, hopefully will avoid the exhaustion of going through hours of labour and it takes a lot of pressure off of me.
I know it comes with risks such as increased bleeding, internal trauma and obviously there’s the recovery time, but I’m absolutely set on having an elective c-section, I believe it’s what is best for me and baby. I don’t want to put my little boy at risk or end up having to have an emergency c-section. I’m also not one of those people that is attached to the idea of experiencing a natural birth, as long as my baby arrives safely it doesn’t matter
