I am 10.5 months postpartum and still breastfeeding. I have spent the last 5 years pregnant, postpartum, or nursing. We lost our first son during childbirth from a tragic accident. We now have two rainbows who keep me very busy taking care of them. Just wondering how long it took you to start to feel like yourself again? Did anything specific help you get there quicker?!? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

For me its another version of me that was harder for family to embrace rather than myself

Got pregnant 18 months later postpartum my second is 8 months old first is 3 . To be fair my son is a shit sleeper . I haven’t felt like myself in a long time

For me personally, because all my pregnancies have been so horrible and rough, once the baby is out of me and I recover from the stitches etc. I just feel so relieved and thankful I'm not pregnant anymore. That is why I instantly feel like my old self again but that's because I've gone through 40weeks of constant misery

My youngest just turned 9 and I want to say it was when he was almost 7. I didn't have any ppd with my first but with him I want to say I started having post partum psychosis around 5 months but was diagnosed offically with ppd.

I would say around 3 year old I felt a bit more relaxed since my kid is trained to do most things now and is well behaved unless I’m not feeling well.
She feeds off my energy so I have to make sure I’m good so she doesn’t give me a hard time

My son was one and a half when i started feeling better not myself but better, then i found out i was pregnant again and now and again i dont feel anywhere close to who i was/am im 4m pp with my 2nd and hate leaving the house currently qith a breastfed baby and a toddler in the thick of the terrible 2s

For me I wasn’t myself my entire pregnancy, I was actually really mean and just generally not the same person and just felt crappy all the time so when baby was out it was like a switch flipped and I was myself again, I’ve never been happier and much prefer having a newborn over being pregnant, but I did go through 9 months of feeling lost and like a completely different person

Like a year? Something clicked in me after his 1st bday. Like I was already seeing friends here and there when they invite, girls nights. I was already going to Pilates and Zumba twice a week. But I think his first big first year milestone did something in me that I was like, I need to do more for myself. So that meant like scrolling to purposely look for adult events to go to, more days out w friends, more intentional self care and filling my cup, more of “can you watch him, ima need to clear my head and go to the beach and just suntan till sunset” days. More intentional dressing up, light makeup daily, looking myself helps me feel myself, working on my physique, over the moon when I fit into my old jeans. I guess I was just winging and cruising till a year and then it was like “it’s time”. I utilised my hubby ALOT to get there though, no doubt. No way it would’ve been that soon if I didn’t have his support.

I'm 6 months pp and sometimes I feel like myself but not quite. I'm a first time mom so I'm never going to feel the same again, my priorities have changed and I don't care as much about the things I used to care. I think I've just accepted that my life is different now and I'm not trying to be who I was before.

I don't think we will ever feel like "ourselves" again. We had a life changing change, and we are different now. We just need to rediscover the new you. And embrace it. My baby is 9 months and I'm slowly stopping pumping since baby didn't like the boob. Now that I went from pumping 6 times a day to 3, it's made a world of a difference. I have more control over my body and don't feel like I'm a buffet. But overall you just need to find the new you, what do you like, what you want to learn or try, do you want to gym, or start a new hobby. Just embrace yourself

Hello, honestly...I started feeling like myself after stopping breastfeeding. And I am not joking.

My child has a few behaviours that family have started to pick up on and imply he has autism. I see these as normal toddler traits, as when looking at autism he doesn’t have any of the social/developmental signs, it’s only a few behavioural.
He is very routine set, if you start doing something that routine will stick & he’ll have tantrums if you try to do something else.
He is fixated on wearing a hat, all the time even if if it’s barely sunny; and will pull it down over his face in any form of bright light, will often want to wear it to bed.
He gets very upset and distressed if for example, my dad pushes the pushchair when it’s always my mum that pushes it, or if my grandma holds the dogs lead, when normally my mum holds it.
Outside of these things, he has phenomenal speech, great eye contact, amazing at making friends despite being only 22 months, and has a great interest in food, music & a variety of styles of play.
I think it’s just total toddler behaviour, but I can also see he’s quite particular about certain things others may not be???

This might sound stupid, but everyone says you can't do any lifting so I'm really confused about how I'm supposed to get the baby out of the Moses basket at night.
Do you keep the baby on your side or your partner side and have them help?

Just wondering if anybody else also was disgusted by the thought of changing a nappy! I hate the smell and gag at the sight of it when my sister changes my nephew 😭 Any tips for how I can get over this with my own?

I've just been so so stupid. I've had unprotected sex and I'm 6 weeks pp. I am exclusively breastfeeding but i know that i can still get pregnant. I guess I just want to know if anyone ended up getting pregnant after having sex this early on whilst breastfeeding?

My 8 week old is trying her hardest to stand and crawl. Crazy I know! I don’t want her to damage anything from developing. I’ve been looking at a walker or bouncy chair for her so she has support when doing this craziness. Any advice is welcome on what to do!
