Why does my LO move around so damn much during the night

I get it’s active sleeping but it’s to a point he is up every hour from all that movement and wants to be on the boob and then even after will be calm for 5 mins and start moving again. He is 9 weeks old and I feel like it’s got worse. We are co sleeping but if anything it’s worse when he is sleeping next to me

have you tried a swaddle? or the love to dream sleep sacks?

Mine is the same, 9 week old today and he's been thrashing around all night, and my partner doesn't understand why I can't sleep when he does!

Definitely try to swaddle when not co sleeping. Also try to resettle when baby wakes instead of feeding every hour so baby gets used to going longer stretches between feeds and has a good big feed instead of snacking x

Same here! I have been wondering if I need to remove the arms from my baby's swaddle because he has been moving about so much. Really high leg kicks and throwing himself onto his side all night long.

Sounds silly but check he doesn't need winding? Active sleep and gas pains look very similar for my son. So if he is particularly restless I try and burp him first.

Also i dont know your views on dummy's but that was a game changer for us. My son would want to suck but found that if we gave him milk every time he stirred it would make him uncomfortable so using a dummy settled that need for sucking.

How long did it take before you felt like yourself again postpartum?!

I am 10.5 months postpartum and still breastfeeding. I have spent the last 5 years pregnant, postpartum, or nursing. We lost our first son during childbirth from a tragic accident. We now have two rainbows who keep me very busy taking care of them. Just wondering how long it took you to start to feel like yourself again? Did anything specific help you get there quicker?!? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Floor bed on holiday

My 7 month old is in a floor bed, which works amazingly at home. We go on holiday in a few weeks where I'll be sharing a double bed with him (there is a travel cot available but he's never really slept in a cot so I don't want this to be our only option as I'm not convinced he'll sleep in it).

The double bed obviously won't be on the floor....what are makeshift budget ways (that actually will stop a rolling around 7 month old) that can stop him rolling out of the 3 open sides without having to spend money on 3 side bed rails?

Sleep deprived!

Anyone else have a little one ( 1 week old) who is great during the day, sleeps so well, can be put down to sleep and is fine on bottles.
Evening/late night comes and all she wants is to sleep on us and definitely seems a bit windy/struggling to poo even though she’s been fine on the bottles throughout the day

Melatonin

Do you or have you gave melatonin to your child(ren)? I’m considering it for my soon to be 4 year old…. I’ve tried putting her to sleep at 7pm but she doesn’t fall asleep until after 10pm. We’ve tried taking her outdoors during the day to burn her energy but nothing works. Getting desperate…

Feeling drained

Anyone else feeling physically and emotionally drained now? How do you do?

Controversial opinion but I found it a lot easier to care for baby when she was a tiny newborn, all was new, still running on adrenaline and she was sleeping during the day! Now that she is 3 months old, it's hard and it never stops.

I feel I have been "on" for the past 3 months and now reaching my limit. Anything will set me off, I have no patience with baby and keep arguing with hubby.

Am I alone feeling like this? Any tips? Will it get better?

My 2 week old won’t sleep without touching me, HELP!

So my boy is 2 weeks 2 days. The first week he slept fine in his bassinet now he will not sleep without touching me! And scream if I put him down. Does anyone safely co sleep or find a way to help them sleep without you? I get super anxious about co sleeping.
