I keep hearing and reading about people working from home while looking after a baby or toddler.
No judgement, I’m just genuinely curious about how you manage this?!
What type of jobs do you have? And do your work place know you do it?
Also what is your reason for doing so, not wanting child in nursery or not being able to afford to?
I work from home, in a finance role and couldn’t imagine to be able to do both.

I also work from home in a finance role and it simply wouldn’t be possible for me to look after my toddler at the same time!

I’m in finance too , same honestly I really want to know how some people are managing!

I work from home for 2 days with an almost 12 month old. My job isn't really busy all the time but there are moments where I need to focus and the past 3 months have become impossible to do that😅 so we are looking at placing him in nursery. My workplace is not aware I look after him while working and it's now becoming unfair on my colleague!

Its also worth noting that most of workplaces have a WFH policy, which often doesn’t allow remote work to replace childcare as balancing both simultaneously can create performance and compliance issues. A friend of a friend got a warning after customer complained they could hear her toddler screaming in the background whilst on the call 😬 I totally get why people do it though - little choice if you don’t have a support system/financial safety net

It wouldn’t work for a contact centre. Customer heard a random child in the main office four desks away. Plus calls are recorded.

No workplace is going to allow this, so i expect the people who do, arent being honest with their workplace
i know the whole point of this app is to “connect” but does anyone else feel a tad bit performative while trying to meet people. personally, meeting people has never been the issue but it seems the depth of it all is missing. i’m freshly 26 now so i’ve gone through the high school and college version of making friends, comparing it to now oh my god i miss the days of just kicking it, random adventures, food for thought that isn’t bs social media entertainment.
I fear that most people i run into doesn’t actually want a real friend just someone “pretty” enough to attend popular nightlife events, post for instagram and more performative crap to that doesn’t bring us closer at all. The hyper-fixation on aesthetics is ruining everything 😭 It’s weird… because i have participated in that version of girlhood all my life but it still felt like offline we were even closer. Nowadays you’d think you and a person are besties on socials but it never corresponds to actual connection.
Lastly, idk if this is a recession indicator but since when did every single thing become a production. If we didn’t go to a 5 star outing apparently it wasn’t a good time ? If we’re not pandering to men to fund our night, it was a lame night ? everything is spend spend spend and the “actual fun” be so staleeee. Maybe i need a change of environment… where are the down to earth people

I’ve been taking sertraline for around 3 to 4 months. Since taking them I feel like I’ve completely lost my sex drive. I really don’t know what to do. Has anyone else had the same? How did you fix it?

Been feeling really lonely and depressed lately. Moved hours away from home with my new partner and my kids. I have no friends or family. I have no hobbies. My kids are 4, 3, and 2. My partner has recently been more detached. He wasn't very emotional before but now its even less. I feel he is caring less and less for me weekly. I just feel so alone. I cant shake this feeling that we wont be together when our baby is born. I just cant go through another relationship where im seen as an issue when all im doing is sharing how things have changed and it hurts my feelings and looking for validation. I feel at this point there is no person for me. I will forever pick bad seeds.

I’m really looking for honest opinions! I wanna know if this app has worked for anyone. I’ve always had a really hard time making friends. I am neurodivergent and I’ve struggled to fit in let alone make friends. I really wanna try something different and that’s why I downloaded the app, especially now that I’m a mom, but I genuinely don’t even know who I am now so how do I make friends? Would genuinely love to hear some of y’all’s stories/suggestions!!!
