Broken

My BD had told me today I’m the worst thing to happen to him and he wishes he never met me I have ruined his life.
We have 2 children under 2 and this has cut me quite deep as I feel it is a really nasty and deep thing to say.
I’m always quick to defend him and his actions as I love him and long for that fairy tale family. But this is something that can’t be forgotten.
He hates me as I pulled him up on leaving the house at 3am to go out with his friends leavening me to deal with the kids myself.
I’m not allowed a voice and every time I voice an opinion I’m in the wrong.
And I over reacting how do I handle the situation.
It’s breaking me and dragging me down and making me feel useless and like an awful partner and awful mother.

I’m sorry you were told this by someone you love. Was this said during an argument? Or out of anger. If so, I would just call it a night. Tomorrow, when emotions are back to normal, bring it up. “Hey last night you said something that really hurt my feelings” try to see if he remembers. Sometimes when our emotions are running high, we say and do things we don’t mean.
Sometimes you don’t even remember saying it.
If he doesn’t remember, tell him. And then ask what was the purpose of that statement.
If he does remember, same thing, What was the purpose of that statement ? What was he hoping to accomplish with it? Hurt your feelings ?? Let out his emotion? Etc… and then take it from there. I hope this helps. I’m a message away if you need anything

It’s also impossible to talk to him because he doesn’t want to listen to my side , he says his peace then tell me he donate Anna talk about it anymore he’s not interested in what I have to say , if I try and talk I get accused of shouting and raising my voice which becomes the main issue of the problem rather than the actual issue.
He’s always quick to blame me for everything , I’m always the bad guy

Aww I’m so sorry he’s acting like you made the kids alone. If he didn’t want kids he should’ve prevented it. Don’t let his mean words get to you and know you deserve better than someone who blames everything on you.

if you’re not together then just cut contact with him around anything that isn’t the children. you don’t deserve to be spoken to like that and you definitely don’t need to put up with it! if he is persistent and doesn’t civilly coparent without abusive messages then go through a third party, either a family member or there are apps etc where everything is tracked and he can be held accountable for any abuse or harassment. i know you said that you’re living under his roof but you need to move and get out of that situation ! it is so hard and i understand i had to leave an abusive situation in november - ended up crashing at my mums for a month and then moving into my own place now renting. if you do not have the funds for that then speak to your council as they have support in place for people facing homelessness and people leaving abusive situations. i’m so sorry you’re going through this but you can get out of it and it will get so much better! i’m living my
best life now! xxx

Using family names, dilemma!

My father passed away when I was a child. We used his name as our son’s middle name as a way for him to be connected to baby. My mum was very happy with this and so were me and my partner. I will say that my father’s name isn’t particularly a name I would’ve chosen otherwise as it’s not to our taste but won us over sentimentally.

My FIL openly asked me and my husband the other day if we will be using his name as our second son’s middle name. We had no intention of doing this and have already chosen another middle name. The middle name we have chosen is actually my husbands and FILs middle name (they have the same). We thought this was a way to connect both my husband and FIL to baby boy no2. My FIL seemed annoyed and said “is my name not good enough?”.

I have no idea how to approach this subject anymore, especially when my in laws keeps asking if I have finalised a name and seem to be off in tone when discussing a name.

For reference, my husband is their only child and thus these are their only grandchildren.

Thanks for any help with this situation! I don’t want to upset anyone but also want our decisions to be respected.

Lunch 🫘

Baked beans with toast, grated cheese with a side of grapes and blackberries 💜

Definitely a bigger portion but the boy does love beans on toast!

Solids

Any tips/tricks on how to get my baby to like playing/eating more textured food & solids? She’s 9 months and doesn’t seem interested in it every time I give it to her 😭

How many times have we deep cleaned the house thinking it’s the last time?! 😩

I swear I’ve deep cleaned every room in this house like 3 times now thinking it will be the last time before baby arrives/to help induce labour and nothing! Now it’s a tip and needs doing AGAIN! 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

Divorcing a "good" man

We both saw this coming for a while, we just are on different pages and different priorities. We love each other and have no hard feelings and want the best for our daughter (3). There was no abuse, just lack of effort and unmet expectations that were communicated. I feel like I keep trying to villianize him and make a list in my head of what he did (or didn't do) to make it make sense on paper. I understand I'm not innocent either, I've held a lot of resentment since we had a child and felt like he didn't step up and I had to take on most of everything (as I know a lot of women feel). With all said and done, it's still hard to go through and it's so lonely. He was the reason I looked forward to the future and at one point felt like my person. I don't have much support system or family and he does. I'm mainly just venting but has anyone else gone through this? I feel like people will judge that "oh if it wasn't abusive or there was no cheating, there's no reason to not work it out". I know it's for the best to separate. I don't like the version of me that has grown and is out around him and living with him. I feel like I failed my daughter and she is going to grow up and resent me for not trying harder. It's going to be so tough for her to get used to us not living together and not seeing both her parents everyday anymore.
Thoughts, advice?
