Silly question - 12 week scan

How do you find out the date of your 12 week scan? Is it from the midwife at your booking appointment, or does it come through separately? I’m away with work for a week around the 12 week mark and keen to have it booked in, but as I’ve not done this before I’ve no idea who to ask!

They usually send you an appointment from the hospital you’ve registered with, your midwife will be able to help you! Also if you can’t make it you’ll be able to rearrange!

I didn't get told, just happened to look at my badger app!

I got my letter in the post after I did my self referral.

I got a text about it. And then called my hospital prenatal clinic as I needed to move it as I was going to be away with work and I couldn’t move it in the nhs app even though that’s what I was told to do in the text. If you’ve not got a text/email about it maybe contact the hospital directly.

I got a letter in post. I think different trusts use different websites/aps for paperwork, mine uses My Pregnancy Notes which unhelpful doesn't show scans in appointments section.

Hi girlies im due for a c section in 2 weeks please can I hear some positive experiences?

Baby names

Hi guys im due a baby boy in january and my partner wants to name him Leo after his best friend, the boy middle name was already set to Duncan for a boy (his uncle who has passed) but im not certain on Leo, i like the name and think its sweet and works but im not certain about the reasoning of it being his best mates name, however I also dont have any other boy name ideas so might go with the Leo Duncan because I do like the name, thoughts?

C section date

I got my planned c section date today, the consultant wanted to book me in for 39+2 but I insisted on 40 weeks exactly. I didn't want to give birth earlier than necessary and both my children were born 41 weeks exactly (1 spontaneous labour 1 induced). I'm just panicking a bit now I've only ever had emergency sections, how likely is it that I will go into labour early? Did I make the wrong decision should I ask to change the date. TIA

GROW Scans

I just had a GROW scan at 32 weeks as my midwife referred me to it as the baby was just above the 10th percentile.

I don’t know why I feel so upset about the baby being small. I’ve always been very healthy and I think I’m doing all the right things and eating healthy and trying to rest and stuff and I know all babies are different and depends on your body and stuff. He’s a healthy baby just small but for some reason it worries me that he’s small?

I think its the lack of speaking or comments made by the people doing the scans like you ask questions and its all “yes/no, it’s normal” like is it tho?

I dont know if I’m overthinking it! Anyone else feeling a bit deflated about their own scans?

Jury in the LC trial

So the jury has been sent back in a deadlock. I'm so conflicted on my opinion about this case, I'm not sure she was in psychosis but don't feel the CW has given enough evidence that it's not a possibility. How/what sealed your opinion on the case? (If you've followed it).

I'm not even entertaining the idea that it was PCs fault.

First time pregnancy, when do you tell people?!

Just interested in knowing when is a good time to tell people you’re expecting. I’m 6 weeks 4 days. I’ve told my work bestie to get me through work, and that is it! Am I crazy? I’m worried to tell anyone else until I’ve had my first scan?
