Positive c section stories?

Hi girlies im due for a c section in 2 weeks please can I hear some positive experiences?

Slightly different as I had an emergency c section, but the actual c section element of labour was the most positive best part about labour for me! With my second I’ll deffo be opting for an elective.

I had a section and it was absolutely fine, theatre staff were so lovely, baby was out in 8 minutes and the rest of the time flew by as I was cuddling my boy. Recovery was easy, I never had anything stronger than paracetamol. Don't read horror stories, they're rare xx

Mine was amazing!!!! We had the pre op the day before which was very helpful. On the morning of, we had to be at the hospital for 7.30 meaning we were able to stop on the way to get a newspaper for his memory box. Ha.
We got there and we're walked to a room where we spoke with the anaesthetist, surgeon and a midwife to go through the process. We were luckily first in and the baby was born at 9.25am. It was so relaxed and calm and such a happy environment. Afterwards the healing was fine. Obviously the first night was a bit odd. My husband could have stayed but I didnt want him sleeping on an upright chair so we spent the night solo which was fine. My wound healed okay.

All in all it was a near perfect birth and I would choose a c section again!!

Absolutely brilliant. I was induced and it failed so instead of trying the induction again, I opted for a section! Best decision ever. Had my own playlist playing in theatre, it was really relaxed and the recovery was really quick for me personally. I will opt for an elective section now with all our future babies xx

Emergency c section so can’t really comment on actual surgery experience as mine was very rushed and I was out of it! But recovery was amazing, barely took any pain killers after the 3rd day, just uncomfortable more than anything! Was driving by 2 weeks as was cleared by the doctor! Will definitely be opting for C-section for my second when the time comes! X

I had an elective c section, and the actual operation itself was the most positive part of my whole birthing journey. The hospital staff were phenomenal, made me so at ease even though I was absolutely terrified the whole time. They are all experts in what they do, you're in good hands. My recovery wasn't so good, I got an infection, when people say to rest afterwards - make sure you do!!

Mine was an emergency c-section too. And as soon as I was numb it was so easy and I was so relaxed, they took photos (top side only obvs!) and it was a beautiful way to meet our LO for the first time. I enjoyed skin to skin then the dad got to cut the cord, do skin to skin and I could see this through the door whilst laying there all emotional and happy. The hospital staff were fabulous and really cared about me, baby and dad. Checking in on us all to make sure that we were all ok. I have beautiful photos of this too which I wouldn’t have gotten with a normal birth so I’m grateful for that. Neither of us saw the nasty part, it was all covered so that our experience was nice and not shocking. Enjoy every minute of your wonderful experience ❤️

Baby boy is here 7 days old 💙

My waters broke at home at 36+3 days I had to stay in hospital until 37 weeks to be induced baby boy made his arrival after 18 hours of labour on the 25th Aug 2026 he was only due 14th September 🥹💙

Baby names

Hi guys im due a baby boy in january and my partner wants to name him Leo after his best friend, the boy middle name was already set to Duncan for a boy (his uncle who has passed) but im not certain on Leo, i like the name and think its sweet and works but im not certain about the reasoning of it being his best mates name, however I also dont have any other boy name ideas so might go with the Leo Duncan because I do like the name, thoughts?

postpartum pain

i’m 1 month post partum tomorrow. when giving birth i had forceps and an episiotomy (2nd degree). After giving birth i moved to the postnatal ward, i asked for stool softeners constantly throughout the day and didn’t actually receive them until about 12 hours later, so this resulted in haemorrhoids just to add to the discomfort i already had. anyway i felt like the pain was getting better in all aspects but the last week i’ve started to feel a lot of discomfort again in both areas.

Is it normal to still be really sore a month on? my check up with doctors isn’t until october 1st.

Period??…

Hey mamas I’m 6 weeks pp from a c section and I had sexy time with my hubby, now 2 days later it seems like I’m spotting with discharge?… I also EBF

Is that normal?
Am I getting my period ALREADY!!?!
Am I okay?..

I’m also under a lot of stress btw.
