Breastfeeding?!

Is anyone breastfeeding? If so, when you are craving just a bit more than "a glass of wine", what do you do? Just refrain? Pump and dump? Hopes and prayers and fingers crossed?

Yes ! Here so the answer as well . Day 5 and a glass sounds so perfect right now or on those hard nights when you need it .

Yes! Or you can pump milk for baby before hand

Hot take care but a glass of wine isn’t gonna harm either of you.

Yeah I usually pump right before having a glass but... what if I want to have like 3 glasses 😂

I will feed unless I feel tipsy. Some people go as far as “if you can find baby you can feed baby” which personally doesn’t feel comfortable to me. If you are worried about a couple drinks (or more) then I would pump extra beforehand and wait the couple hours per drink that most doctors recommend before feeding again. Trust your gut, if you feel uncomfortable then pump. Also it doesn’t enter your milk for an hour supposedly so you could even pump/feed during your first glass and they wouldn’t get any.

My four month old is trying to stand

My baby just turned four months on the 20th. She hasn’t quite sat up by herself yet but every time she is in somebody’s lap or somebody’s holding her, she’s showing interest in wanting to stand up. When is a good time to get her one of those bouncing toys, I wasn’t sure if we should introduce it yet because she’s not sitting independently or not

Sleep Schedule and sleep positions

My baby has just turned three months and I want to start tracking her sleep during the day, does anyone use any apps that are free and they would recommend? I am not trying to sleep train her till next month but I know it will take a couple months to do so I am not worried, I just want to know she is getting the right amount of sleep now and when she is sleeping in case she has too much or too little, she slept last night from around eight ish till about eleven ISH if I remember and the half three ISH for a bottle then woke up at seven for another bottle, had a wiggle in the cot while I chilled out next to her, I have a cold and it's zap me or else I would interact with her, she got fussy around half seven I think and came for a cuddle and slept till ten ISH and then I had to go out on a important errand, which she napped in the car for about half an hour after crying all the way there which was overwhelming but I had to do it, then around two ISH we both slept till five ISH, as I said I am not well so she was in her cot and me in bed and then she asleep around half eight, I want to know this all correct for her age.
Also how does everyone elses three month old sleep position at the moment, I have a very wiggly baby so I won't use a blanket as she kicks it off and has started to grab, so she's in a sleep bag with arms because she can roll over, with great head control and now for the last few months has slept on her side even when I place her on her back then will slowly move around the cot, I always check her but seems alright, video so you see what she does

Those who have babies who sleep have a totally different parenting journey

Maybe it’s because I’m jealous, maybe it’s because I’m hoping to find peace in myself but those who have babies/children who sleep well have a very different journey of motherhood/fatherhood. I’m tried, burnt out and close to a menty B

I want to stop co-sleeping 😭

I literally don't know what to do. I want to stop co-sleeping but it is a nightmare. As soon as I place my baby in his bassinet he'll start screaming bloody murder, or roll onto him belly and wake himself up, or sleep 30 minutes then wake up. It's a battle every night and eventually I'm exhausted and give up. He wins and gets to sleep next to mommy. I don't know what to do. 😭 He sleeps perfectly fine on his own for naps, just not at bedtime. Any advice?

Transferring

Just thought I’d celebrate a milestone in my motherhood.
Today, after 2 years and 8 months of being a mother to my daughter, I successfully transferred her off me from falling asleep on the boob (that’s what works for us idc) into her cot.
Fast and quiet was the method, slight winge then she rolled over and is out for the count.
Feel pretty proud of myself
