Do (All) your family members get along ?

I have some family who can’t stand each other. We have awkward family gatherings. There’s time some refuse to show up if another is expected to attend. I was wondering how common this is.

Not very common by the results of the pole haha but all of my family get along

I don't speak to one of my aunts, nor does my mother. We just avoid each other at family gatherings. It's never been particularly awkward, we just keep to opposite ends of the room 🤷🏽‍♀️

I don’t speak to my dad nor his side of the family but my mums is pretty good, they have their arguments and get over it. My husbands is EXHAUSTING. His mum doesn’t get on with most her siblings but my husband loves most of his aunt and uncles and we are quite close with some of them and we have to
pretend we don’t see them 😂

My family always had a fair share of drama . But since I’ve left my home state , it’s gotten worse. A family gathering is out of the question at this point.

Hell no ma'am not at all

After my last living grandparent died, the entire family fell apart. Family gatherings don’t exist anymore.

Fall from bed

This morning my husband got out of bed and I was more asleep still than usual. Our little one has become more mobile and somehow managed to roll off of the bed between the bed and nightstand. It’s about 2ft and we have carpet. He’s about 6 months old, rolling, now somewhat crawling.

I heard it immediately got him and he barely cried. As soon as I picked him up he was smiling and giggling. He has been eating, looking at us, grabbing and kicking all like normal.

I don’t see any bumps or bruises and he seems generally okay and unbothered by the entire incident.

My husband is very upset that we let him fall. He isn’t directly blaming me but I know I’m the one who failed our son. The guilt is overwhelming and I feel sick to my stomach. He keeps saying things like “now anytime something is wrong we’re going to think it it’s because when he fell” which makes me more upset 😭

I’m going to call his pediatrician but has this happened to other moms? Please don’t join this to just make me feel worse, I’m already very down on myself about it.

Am I the asshole

So there’s a restaurant near where I live that has a kids play attached to a seating area upstairs , there’s 5 signs around saying “ you MUST supervise your children at all times in the play area , adults must remove shoes too “ and two signs in the seating area saying not to leave children in the play area alone while you eat / drink.
This is a very small area too so it’s not hard to just sit on a block and watch.
But unfortunately as it’s attached to a seating area parents take the opportunity to go and sit and eat and let their kids play

I was there with my 2 year old and he was running around having fun with some other kids when a bunch of older kids come running in with a couple younger ones , the older ones were grabbing the younger ones and pushing them down the slide. One got one younger one in a head lock and another was kicking her ! I told them to get off her and I was going talking to their mother.

I asked the parents that was there who’s kid they was and it was non so I went out the play area and she was the only one sat there with her head in her laptop and her headphones on watching a YouTube video ! I went over and said excuse me you’re suppose to supervise your children not your laptop , one is in a headlock being kicked in the head crying.
She started to apologise but she said “ no one had said nothing before “ like so she knows she’s suppose to but doesn’t care ?? I just said people like you are the reason I don’t come here. ( True I avoid going due to the fact parents don’t watch their freaking kids in there )

Admittedly I was sick of it by this point and i definitely lost my cool a little with her so am I the asshole for not just going getting her politely as I had done before

Earlier this year, Co-op Academies Trust introduced a trousers-only policy from September. However, some parents are refusing to accept the change. Several pupils arrived at Co-op Academy Failsworth for the new academic year wearing skirts

What are your thoughts on this? 👖

Annoyed at husband

Am I right to be annoyed? My husband went to work this morning. He then told me he was going for a lunch with someone at 1 pm and would come home from there, he said he’d be home a bit earlier than normal, probably 4 or 4.30. He came home at 5.15pm, he’s taking 45 minutes to an hour before he actually comes to take over care of the baby. The way I see it he’s just had a whole afternoon of having a nice lunch and probably having some drinks while I’ve been looking after the baby. He shouldn’t need 45 minutes to an hour when he gets home before he takes over. Am I right to be annoyed? he’s taking the time to go to the toilet, roll his tobacco, listen to a podcast in his office…. Etc

Non-toxic cleaning products

I’m wanting to start slowly switching over to non-toxic cleaning products that actually work. I typically use all of the big brands like Lysol, Clorox and it’s just so strong to me. Preferably if I can find them at Walmart and it’s still decently affordable.
