So I’ve come to the decision to quit my job mainly because they keep putting my safety at risk with heavy loads and stuff and I’m over worrying what they’re going to make me do, so I’m going to quit with immediate effect because I literally end up having panic attacks before I leave my house to go to work. Just want to know if people think what I’m doing is right or if I’m jumping the gun

I'd ask to see there manual handling and heavy loads policy's first. Are you given the correct equipment?

Could you maybe go on sick leave first? Or do you plan on finding a new job immediately for maternity benefits?

Personally I think you should be reporting them for not giving you a proper risk assessment and changing your duties to suit as is their legal requirement. If you leave off your own back "just quit" they will have gotten away with misconduct. But I am so sorry that your work are treating you this way. I told work at 12 weeks I was pregnant as im a warehouse manager who did get very hands on lifting up to 30kg boxes at a time but since ive told them they have be basically chained to my desk and im not even allowed on a step ladder. Which has been hard but completely necessary to eliminate risks. Have you spoken to HR? Xx

If you are pregnant, or experiencing any health condition they should be accommodating by giving you tasks which are not requiring you to deal with heavy lifting. I suggest check your companies policies first and challenge them.

I had this same issue at work. I work in a warehouse and my employer did not take health and safety seriously, despite a risk assessment being done. I went on sick leave and I've been signed off until I go on maternity leave. I would advise doing that, rather than abruptly quitting.

I would go and speak to your gp and be signed off to start with. You are the only person that stands to lose here with what maternity pay you would get. They won’t care they will just find someone else. I wonder also if calling ACAS might be a good idea too
So I’ve done it because I told them when I was 5 weeks and I’ve been facing the same issues since I’ve explained it to my midwife she wasn’t impressed and even without smp I’m still eligible for MA I know there are other routes I could take but the fact I had to fight for my risk assessment in the first place and then continuously fight for it to be followed was exhausting it made my anxiety horrific and I would have full blown breakdowns due to just feeling so unsafe atp I’m okay with losing out money wise and what not simply because my health and my child’s health is being put first and ive done a lot of research before I decided this but it’s gotten to the point where I’m constantly dismissed
So my boyfriend like to try to have sex while watching sex scenes in movies an when I tell him no he keeps asking an asking like come on it makes me feel so gross an when we do have sex it’s always him that get pleasured

Looking for someone to text all the time especially during these newborn trenches. I want someone I can vent to about my partner or just when I need to get the stress out. Honestly I’m always on TikTok so I want to send those back and forth.
Little about me :
I’m 27, looking for girls around 25–30 who actually text back and keep a conversation going 😂🫶🏼
I currently have 1 guy bestie + my husband lol, so I need some girl friends! 😂
Mom of 2, love sewing & thrifting, and I’m obsessed with The Fray, Zach Bryan, Zach Top & Ella Langley 🎶🤍
If you’re looking for a new friend too, message me! I’d love to get to know you and see if we click! 🥹💕

Hello! I’m a 33 year old mum with a 4 year old in Singapore. Between work and taking care of a kid, it’s really hard for me to make friends. Being introvert and having bad social skills doesn’t help either. Hoping that we can connect through common interest and activity!
