We start tomorrow my daughter is a little shy about it all but Iām sure sheāll be finee
Me Iām a mess where has this time gone
I went out to eat with my friend Tara. I actually invited her out and wanted to do something nice for her birthday. Since she was not having a party or doing anything special I decided Iād plan a dinner for her and pay for her meal. Now, I have no problem paying for my friends meal I was planning to do it from the beginning. However, Tara brought her boyfriend and her Mother to this dinner with her without letting me know they were coming. Long story short when the waitress asked how the checks were going to be.. I said Iād pay for mine and Taraās. Taraās mother and boyfriend told me I was rude to not pick up their tab. Even threw in the comment that I āmust be broke.ā Nothing else was said after that. It was awkward for me and I felt like my kind gesture was blowing up in my face. My friend did not say anything to her mother and man for saying those things to me. Which made me feel even worse.

I feel a little embarrassed to even be asking this but I am terrible at being social and making friends.
Today my son (heās 22 months) was trying to make friends at the park, it was super cute, but all the kids were a bit older 5-10 Iām guessing. He kept going up and saying hi, followed by his minion language, and the kids just seemed annoyed and gave me the āget your babyā look. I totally get it, they are kids, not upset at them at all. Iām more upset at myself because I didnāt know how to help him, was I supposed to pull him away from the kids or let them figure it out?
How do I help him make friends when I see people with kids his age? I brought a beech ball and offered it for them both to play there was 1 other toddler the parent seemed to pull their kid away, Iām like š³ did I scare the people⦠the parent was right there. I hate my social anxiety. Anyway.
Main questions. Am I supposed to pull him away from kids that donāt seem to want to play with him? ( they kept getting up and he kept following them till I pulled him away) š
And. Tips on making toddler friends at the park.
Thank you

Is anyone else struggling with leaving the house postpartum?
Iām 12 days postpartum and Iām really struggling with it. The first few days, I could barely leave my room. This week Iāve finally been able to spend more time on the main floor, go into the basement, and even sit outside in the backyard, so I felt like I was making some progress.
I tried to take my son outside in the stroller, but I only made it to the end of the driveway before I had to turn around. Today, my husband and I tried to go out for dinner. We made it to the restaurant, but as soon as we got there I became extremely anxious and felt like I needed to leave immediately.
I donāt really know how to explain it. The second Iām away from the house, I get this overwhelming feeling that something is wrong and I become very anxious. Itās not necessarily that Iām worried about one specific thingāitās just this intense feeling that makes me want to get back home.
Iām already dreading my in-person midwife appointment on Tuesday because I know Iāll have to leave the house.
Has anyone else experienced this around 1ā2 weeks postpartum? Did it get easier with time? Iād really appreciate hearing other peopleās experiences because right now Iām feeling pretty alone in this. ā¤ļø

I feel like Iāve been rejected by my LO. When heās with me or my husband he always cries. Since heās had his 8 week jabs(is now 12 weeks, but 5weeks corrected), heās been really fussy. Heās clingy and cries most of the time, itās rare to get a smile out of him or even play with him for more than 3 minutes before he starts screaming again. We thought he was colicky for a while, but yesterday we went to his grandparents house, and he was a completely different baby. He was happy, he played. He smiled. There was only one point in the day where he cried and that was when he was with me, as soon as I handed him to someone else he was fine. Now, I feel like he hates me, I feel like heās rejected me and Iām an absolute failure because I canāt make him feel safe with me. Iām his mom, I should be the safest place in the world for him?! I donāt know how to shake this feeling now.. how to fix it.
Has anyone else ever felt this? šš¢

I have been trying to start my daughter at nursery for 2 months now and she just screams and screams until they inevitably call me back to get her. We have been doing a settlement for 2 months where I walk out the room for 1 hour and come back and get her. She screams so intently it actually sounds like she is in pain. They staff will usually call me back in before the hour is up because she is just inconsolable. I am at a loss at what to do now. I assumed this would go away in time but itās not got better, if anything itās gotten worse! Her dad has also tried to drop her to see if it helped but she was the same with him. When I am in the room she plays happily and is actually very confident and social. Has anyone else had this problem and did it eventually resolve itself? Iām at the point where I donāt know if I can keep putting her in.

My son just turned 2 and compared to at least his cousins his vocabulary is amazing! You can talk to him and heāll try to talk back even in his own words. Anyways I want to work with him more and I know thereās people that say he donāt need it but might as well do a few min here and there if Iām a SAHM. Is there any curriculums you follow or have found like worksheets you do. What do I need to buy, follow youāre more than welcome to leave links to anything I just need help where to start and activities and how to correlate them together with the learning of a specific thing.
