Anybody else feel like they have no idea what they are actually doing?
Literally everything I do, I question if it’s right. I feel like once you’ve have the baby they just let you out in the big wide world to do as you please. I didn’t have any antenatal classes (not even sure what these are to cover if I’m honest)
My baby is very good - Hardly cries, I tried waking her for her feeds at first but she just wasn’t interested so since about 3 days old I wasn’t waking her every 2/3 hours to feed,
She is now 15days old, and is 20grams off her birth weight - midwife is aware she’s being fed on demand now.
Shes a formula fed baby and I use the tomme tippe prep machine to prepare her feeds as I know I’m not good with telling when things are too hot or cold so really struggle with boiling water and cooling it down.
She currently sleeps from around 12pm - 5am of a night. And I know I should be getting the sleep in whilst I can, but I can’t help but lay awake and worry she’s too hot or cold throughout the night, if she’s wearing the right things, she sleeps in a baby grow with feet and a blanket over her (under her arms)
Anybody else just really struggling to know if they are doing the right thing? 😩

It gets easier i promise! It is scary and daunting at first, i was in the same position as you nearly 3 years ago and now im here with my second who is 2 weeks old tomorrow. Getting a thermometer for your room will help, then base what to wear off a baby clothing chart, I will find one and add it in a second. I also found getting one for baths helped ease my anxiety so I knew it wasnt too hot or cold. You are doing great mama and it will get easier! Xx

I don’t think anyone really knows what their doing when their first time mums to be honest im the same with my little boy hes a week old today and every little noise he makes I worry every cry I feel like he’s hurt im non stop checking if he’s breathing, hungry, to hot or cold when he’s sleeping im just sat there watching him just go with what your heart is telling you but im sure your an amazing mum to your little bubba just stay strong that’s all they need and make sure you sleep

My little one is 3 weeks old and I do the same …. keep checking on her. A few days ago she started to have trouble passing stool and looks so uncomfortable 😳 nothing I can do really just cuddle her and try to comfort her
So you are not alone and I think it’s okay to be worried 🙃 just listen to your instincts and don’t overthink ( at least try) . You are amazing 🤩
My mother-in-law wants to come over the day my baby has her first shots since leaving the hospital, and I don’t want her to come over, but her dad says she could help, but I don’t think she could help. Am I wrong? I feel like having her there would only stress me out more because I’m nervous about the shots to begin with. Don’t get me wrong, I love my mother-in-law, but I don’t want someone trying to hold my baby when she’s upset.

Now ik this isn’t a baby question but I really want some sort of bush trimmer (idk how else to word that sorry) I hate shaving because of the itch but it’s just uncomfy if it gets too long. I was looking at the Gillette one but apparently it only works as long as the first charge and then never again. Recommendations please ladies tysm

Hiya, has anyone used a breast milk collector to collect leaking milk at night? I didn't realise my breast milk was even leaking until I forgot to wear breast pads. The milk had leaked through to my bedsheets.... I'm wondering if a breast milk collector would be good to capture this?

Agitated or overly tired but still not sleep once I put it back in and rub her head. I don’t know what to do at 6am after a feed we’re up for hours and she’s still not sleeping. I’m getting exhausted. Has this happened to anyone?
