So I live with my sister and her bf. this is not our ideal situation, you might have seen other posts I made about this living situation. If you haven't just know that this is a temporary living situation but I do have to live here for another year. That being said, in the past they have horses dishes in their room. I try to give them grace because I'm 25, but when I was 17 living with my family I did the same thing. The thing is they are both 30+. So the fact that they are both stuck in this teenage mentality is actually infuriating especially when I have to do the dishes. Usually they will bring the dishes out and do them themselves but lately I think they are testing limits. My sister said "the dish washer was full and I had accidentally been hoarding forks so I just put them in the sink." That was maybe a week ago, I let it go cause it was just some forks. Now I'm caught up on dishes and I'm realizing we're low on plates and bowls. So now I'm irritated again. I don't know how to approach this. I think it is partially my fault as I'm dealing with 2 kids and the house by myself everyday, I typically end up leaving the dirty dishes for myself to do in the morning. So I do need to be better about that but I feel like they need to take some accountability because there's a lot of other times they can do their dishes. My sister just got fired for absences and she still hasn't come out to do her dishes. I need to be nice but I don't know how to approach this.

There’s nothing wrong with expecting others to pull their weight. It’s not fair all the dishes end up your problem. 2 other adults have meals there too.
Bring it up and be respectful, & only if they get offended will you know the type of people you’re dealing with. There is nothing about asking them to do dishes that is offensive. It’s offensive you even have to confront it.

Sounds similar to my situation. I just found a cup full of forks up in my mil’s room. It’s frustrating.

I would be petty and get my own dishes and cutlery that they can't use so my stuff never runs short.
If they want to live in a pigsty, let them.

If your not paying rent I wouldn't start an argument over dishes because that could be thrown in your face. I'm a SAHM living with my mom so most of the cleaning i do since I dont pay bills. But if your contributing to bills and cleaning I would definitely say something

Separate dishes and hide them (in your room for example) if you need to. Try to wash and put away all your stuff immediately so it’s not laying around and you always know where your stuff is.
Buy a pack of disposable plates and cutlery for emergencies

If you’re paying more than them, it’s time to put that toward your own. That’s too much stress.

Personally I am a Big fan of household group chats being a thing when in any type of roommate situation. 🤷♀️ easy communication that everybody who lives in the home can see & respond to.
I don't consider this sensitive topic but I toggled it on anyway just in case
My son woke up in the morning and usually take off his diaper wipe him down and put on his underwear
Yesterday morning he said look Mommy my penis is big because he had a morning erection I guess is what it was
And I said yes your body changes throughout the day and that's good noticing. Your body is healthy and strong
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I'M SUPPOSED TO SAY?!!!! LOL.
I am a single mom and sometimes I cry thinking I have to do it all by myself.. I have no idea where to bring this topic to
I'm worried and afraid that when the time comes I won't have the right perspective to respond like I'm supposed to
I'm open to ideas please or just a mindset for this kind of thing. I think I did okay but I don't always know what to say

So just came back from a new baby group (been moved up to a toddler group). I'd say the age group is predominantly 12-24 months (there's a few old and a few younger). And for context my son is 14 months. At the end of the group there's a snack time and the lady comes out with boxes of raisins and a pack of rich tea biscuits! All these babies are munching on biscuits and eating probably the worst type of fruit for little teeth. When offered a snack for my son I say "no he's ok" and move on.
I get called out by another parent asking why not. I say we don't do sugar or salt until after 2. They think this is really really weird.
Am I weird? I thought this was a national guideline? (UK)
I'm just trying to protect my sons current and future health, eating habits and his teeth.
I see babies eating all sorts of rubbish, sugary, processed foods and sugary drinks and it boils my blood. I never say anything though of course.
Do you think I'm weird for wanting my son to only eat clean healthy foods until 2 years old?

I am losing my mind literally in tears because my little girl is chronically constipated
She screams, sweats & shakes every three days to get her poo out
Please advise what your 2 year old eats drinks & the times
& anything that will help

My LO is 11 months old. We have always used huckleberry to track everything which is exhausting to me. However it has helped us over the last 11 months by using chatgpt to analyse the data, spot patterns and trends etc. Her sleep is absolutely amazing now.
My husband insists we continue to track everything until she goes to nursery.
He wants us to prepare a handover document detailing everything about her from her sleep, feeding, separation anxiety etc. Even down the the level that she sleeps at x time and what to do if naps dont go to plan. I feel this is quite patronising to the nursery staff... I get that they would want brief information on how she settles and roughly what time she sleeps etc but I feel he is going over the top...
Did anyone else do this?
Anyone who works in a nursery, what are your views on this?

My son has never been to a setting before but aged 3 now I’ve sent him to a forest school nursery. But he’s screaming crying every morning mummy please don’t leave me here I don’t know anyone Etc. I try to reassure him but he’s unconsolable. He’s managing 45 mins to 1 hour a day at the minute. Does it get easier?

What happens if you want to go out for dinner with a friend and Dad is at home with the two kids? (23months and 2months)
My partner has just said he doesn’t feel comfortable he can do bedtime whilst looking after both kids.
I feel this will impact me getting out the house as I can either see a friend 6-8:30pm or after 9pm (travel time not included). I’m currently on MAT so this is my only free time away from home without kids
Context: I see my two friends about once every 4-6 weeks. My partner said he needs a few more months to feel comfortable
What does everyone else do?
