Does it get better?

My son is 2 months and it’s just been really hard I feel like I have no break and when I ask for help I feel like I’m just inconveniencing everyone and I’m so beyond stressed from other things that my body hurts and feels weak and I always have headaches, no matter how much I rest I feel like I can barely hold my son just to burp him and yes I do have a husband but he’s constantly working and is barely even home and he can’t take off but does it get better when they get older?

It will, but it’s hard right now and will be for probably a few more months!

Ask for help and do not be ashamed! Your real friends and your family will show up, and not complain! (If anyone does, you should boot them out your life).

Ask for help. Do not feel like a burden if you can get the help. It’s natural mom worry to feel that way.
Sleep when baby sleeps or rest.
Find things to get out of the house in the morning before the heat.
Do not feel like you have it respond to every cry right away.
Eat good and drink plenty of water
You are strong and amazing.
It will get easier in ways.

My baby is 9 months almost 10 now and I can say it does get better once they realize they’re their own person. But then they seem to find their own chaos lol. All the late nights will be worth it when they find the comfort in you and you become their safe space.

Yes. The first three months were the hardest for me. Baby will become more predictable and it will start to feel easier as they get older.

I have a 14 MO and it gets better. Your friends and family want to help. It really does take a village, and I can confirm as a c-section momma, the first 3 months were the hardest physically and emotionally. But it does get better i promise

Yes ❤️ you’re in survival mode and it’s okay to feel overwhelmed. You got this. It gets better. Soon you will no longer be in survival mode. Please please ask for help. You are not just a mother you are also a human not an inconvenience. It gets better. You are in the trenches now but it will pass I promise

It does get better. Not necessarily easier if you are alone but you will get your strength back the more the baby sleeps, you get sleep. It sounds like you really need to get some help daily right now so you can get a little time to eat, shower, maybe nap. I'd also think about asking your OB about anemia. I also felt tired, weak, and had headaches especially when I got my period back and I was found to be slightly anemic. Anyway, no one will feel burdened. Everyone loves babies haha I was shocked myself at how many ppl WANTED to help and send things to my baby girl. The love was so overwhelming and welcomed once I finally let ppl know she was here. You have to take care of you if you want to continue being there for your baby. You are just as important moma. 💕 But seriously, call your OB and just let them know how you feel physically and mentally. They will have plenty of suggestions and get you what you need.

It will come in waves. Keep your head up.
I have a very alert, sometimes fussy, and hyper 5mo boy.

I'm still working and there are some days at the end of the day I cry from juggling both and I freelance with two clients.

But it's important to pick yourself back up. It's a phase. Nap when he does if you can.

I had postpartum depression and got on Zurzuvae. It really changed everything for me. I can manage my emotions better but we are human.

You're in survival mode and burnt out from being everything for everyone but yourself. Take it from all the women who have been there before; you can't pour from an empty cup. Allow others to be there for you. You are a human being with needs just like everyone else. You are not a burden and anyone that treats you like you are is not a real friend. Sleep deprivation is literally used as a form of torture, because it is very effective at wearing people down and even make them question their own reality. If you have anyone that can help you get more sleep at night, let them help!

Can I get a script for this?? My son talks about his penis

I don't consider this sensitive topic but I toggled it on anyway just in case

My son woke up in the morning and usually take off his diaper wipe him down and put on his underwear

Yesterday morning he said look Mommy my penis is big because he had a morning erection I guess is what it was

And I said yes your body changes throughout the day and that's good noticing. Your body is healthy and strong

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I'M SUPPOSED TO SAY?!!!! LOL.

I am a single mom and sometimes I cry thinking I have to do it all by myself.. I have no idea where to bring this topic to

I'm worried and afraid that when the time comes I won't have the right perspective to respond like I'm supposed to

I'm open to ideas please or just a mindset for this kind of thing. I think I did okay but I don't always know what to say

Am I the weirdo??

So just came back from a new baby group (been moved up to a toddler group). I'd say the age group is predominantly 12-24 months (there's a few old and a few younger). And for context my son is 14 months. At the end of the group there's a snack time and the lady comes out with boxes of raisins and a pack of rich tea biscuits! All these babies are munching on biscuits and eating probably the worst type of fruit for little teeth. When offered a snack for my son I say "no he's ok" and move on.

I get called out by another parent asking why not. I say we don't do sugar or salt until after 2. They think this is really really weird.

Am I weird? I thought this was a national guideline? (UK)
I'm just trying to protect my sons current and future health, eating habits and his teeth.

I see babies eating all sorts of rubbish, sugary, processed foods and sugary drinks and it boils my blood. I never say anything though of course.

Do you think I'm weird for wanting my son to only eat clean healthy foods until 2 years old?

Starting nursery and husbands anxiety

My LO is 11 months old. We have always used huckleberry to track everything which is exhausting to me. However it has helped us over the last 11 months by using chatgpt to analyse the data, spot patterns and trends etc. Her sleep is absolutely amazing now.

My husband insists we continue to track everything until she goes to nursery.

He wants us to prepare a handover document detailing everything about her from her sleep, feeding, separation anxiety etc. Even down the the level that she sleeps at x time and what to do if naps dont go to plan. I feel this is quite patronising to the nursery staff... I get that they would want brief information on how she settles and roughly what time she sleeps etc but I feel he is going over the top...

Did anyone else do this?

Anyone who works in a nursery, what are your views on this?

3 years old, never been to a setting - extremely distressed & upset! Is this normal? How long till it last?

My son has never been to a setting before but aged 3 now I’ve sent him to a forest school nursery. But he’s screaming crying every morning mummy please don’t leave me here I don’t know anyone Etc. I try to reassure him but he’s unconsolable. He’s managing 45 mins to 1 hour a day at the minute. Does it get easier?

Going out to see friends?

What happens if you want to go out for dinner with a friend and Dad is at home with the two kids? (23months and 2months)

My partner has just said he doesn’t feel comfortable he can do bedtime whilst looking after both kids.

I feel this will impact me getting out the house as I can either see a friend 6-8:30pm or after 9pm (travel time not included). I’m currently on MAT so this is my only free time away from home without kids

Context: I see my two friends about once every 4-6 weeks. My partner said he needs a few more months to feel comfortable

What does everyone else do?
