Wanna be SAHM

I am pregnant with my first baby and planning on taking 18months mat leave. I know it will go by fast.

My mom was a full time sahm and it was so nice to have her around more growing up. I know it’s not an easy job but I always thought I would like to be a sahm too when kids came into the picture…at least when they are really little.

I have a good career but it’s busy and stressful at times. I am lucky I can work from home 50% but I just wish I could focus on family life for the next while….i just don’t know how to do it or where to start . The world we live in is expensive, kids are expensive so we really do need two incomes unless have a plan on how to make this thought realistic.

How do you full time sahm do it? Have i missed the “trick”?
I’ve looked into starting a business ie E-commerce but there is so much to know it’s overwhelming tbh and still not clear if it’s worth efforts.

Does anyone have any suggestions or am I living in a fantasy thinking being a sahm is even possible?

Depends on where you live, your lifestyle, your husbands job and the like. My husband is military and his salary is good enough that we could cut out car payments, cable, and most subscriptions and be okay at most duty stations. Places like Elpaso and Lawton we were comfortable enough on one income. Places like Seattle we could not afford on only his income without things getting way to tight for comfort.

You have 18 months. For the first 6 months focus only on baby and you then for the next year focus on getting your business ideas profitable (and baby and you ofc). It’s definitely doable :). I hope you are able to do just that!!

I feel the same. I want to be sahm and also run my small business on the side and earn enough to be a supporting salary

Failure or common??

I turn 27 this month and my husband and I are broke. I am a stay at home mom with our first (and only) baby. Before having our son, I was in such a good position in my career and now I feel like I’ve started over. I’m in my late 20’s with nothing to show. Y this normal/common? I feel like a failure and I’m anxious to return to work, but I have a Velcro baby and also want to just enjoy his early years.

Cheating boyfriend

I had this weird feeling and I checked his phone right now and I found out when I was working 3rd shift on Friday he had someone over to our apartment and they had sex. I had cramps that night and apparently it was right as the girl came over so I’m convinced it was my tuition. He even answered my texts while she was over. She knows about me.

I am 8 months pregnant and we just signed a new lease. I don’t know how to cope with this but now I don’t want to sleep in the bed I don’t want to be on the couch I don’t want to look at him I just feel so disgusted and disgusting. We haven’t had sex for weeks.

I’ve stressed this entire pregnancy and I feel like that’s why my baby is measuring small. He went from 75th percentile to 34th between 19-28 wks.

I feel like my pregnancy experience has been robbed from me. I feel so ugly

What to do with dead conversations?

Would I be wrong for just blocking every dead conversation that I have on here because I feel like it's clearly a waste of time I've interacted with many mothers on here but it's like after a few days. The conversation goes nowhere. Why are we like this?
