Good morning beautiful mamas!! x
I was wondering if anyone been or is in the same situation. Baby keeps waking up after 5am. I will give him little bit of milk and he will continue to sleep until 7am or even after but with me in the bed. It doesn’t matter what time he will have his bedtime.
I really doubt he is overtired and then thought about sleep pressure maybe not big enough but when I put him to sleep he is falling asleep in 5-10min so I would say he isn’t undertired either. 🤷♀️
Today I think baby was cold in the morning so that could be an excuse but no clue about other days.
It’s not the light also because we have blackout curtains so it’s pretty dark.
Day sleep around 2-2.5hrs so isn’t too much.
I think it all started since switched to 2 naps (few weeks ago). He used to sleep through until 6-6:45am on 3 naps. Then we moved to 2 and he kept waking up around 4-5am and now it’s like 5-5:30am
He continue sleeping (with me) so sleep pressure is there and he is not ready to start the day at 5am so no idea why he is waking up
Any ideas/advise please?🤔

No advice but we are exactly the same! I’ve tried different sleeping bag togs and it’s been the same. I changed bed time and she still woke up the same time. I’m just hoping it’s a phase and she’ll outgrow it soon🤦🏼♀️

We are in the exact same boat 🙉 5.30 he moves to our bed and has a little top up snooze 😅

Why did you drop the third nap if it was working for you? x

We are exactly the same! Past week he has started waking around 5! Done earlier and later bedtimes and still the same!

Yes, mine does the same. I got rid of his third nap but somehow he bought it back himself lol. I figure there's some sleep he needs to catch up during the day so I just let him. At night though, no matter what time I take him to bed, he'll be up for five. Months ago, I was really struggling to manage his sleep and downloaded the Huckleberry app, and the AI function in there really helped me cope. Now when he wakes up, i change his nappy then just hand him a book or toy, keep him in dim lighting. And when he's tired himself out, he goes to sleep himself. Normally, this takes about 20mins now.

We had this for a few weeks from 8.5-9.5 months and she’s now 10m. She had been on 2 naps since 6.5/7 months (roughly 2.5-3hrs day sleep) so I figured it was developmental with the early wakes. However, she slowly started reducing her day sleep and now sleeps 1.45 to 2 hours across two naps. Since this shift she is now consistently sleeping until 6:30-7am. Essentially she’s just shifted that extra 30-60 mins of day sleep to night sleep herself. As total sleep is still roughly the same over 24 hours. Bedtime is anywhere between 6:30-7:30. Final WW before bed is 4-4.5 hours.
Might be coincidental but she seemed to find her rhythm herself after a few rough weeks

Only advice is to hang in there! The frustration is so real! From experience with my first who woke up at 5 it does get better and they do sleep longer over time! He now wakes up between 7:30-9!! And my baby slowly starts waking up later now at 6 as well although all this time she was waking up between 5-5:30! Once their wake windows increase and they consistently have a later bedtime they will also sleep longer
Everyone warned me about the first three months being very demanding and difficult but now that we have overcome, I want to share that you will sleep again, you’ll start to enjoy routines and their smiles get bigger so it makes it all worth it 😀

Without providing any context I know it's hard, but my husband and I are in a bad place. I want to repair things. Please just check this and see if it's fair/makes sense/is clear about my intention?

My 6 month old has no routine, and it’s not for lack of trying, he just never settles into one. His bottles are all over the place, sometimes going 2 hours in between, sometimes going 4. We can’t get him to sleep more than 20 minutes during the day. I need some routine and predictability. Pls help

I coslept with my first two and now I cosleep with my third, and much like breastfeeding is natural, it feels natural for me and my baby to cosleep. But now my baby has been admitted into the hospital, and I can't sleep with my baby. It feels so wrong to not have my baby at my side, to have to watch my baby all by themself. I understand the risks that many moms will say, as well as some needing it for their mental health, but I guess now as we are forced to sleep separately it has made me think. I hate not having my baby sleep by me, and I am sure the situation of being in the hospital is what is triggering me to feel this way and write this, as well as my PPA, but I couldn't imagine outside of mental health reasons, not willingly cosleeping.
I think this post was just more of a vent as I watch my little baby sleep in a hospital bed, waiting for doctors to tell us what's wrong

I am absolutely shattered, my 3 year old toddler (who doesn’t sleep the best) literally is barely sleeping now at all! The past 3/4 nights have been absolutely tragic. Admittedly he has a cough, so he might be a bit unwell and I understand the cough keeps him awake or wakes him when he’s sleeping however his usual first stretch of sleep is pretty much gone, which we were having a solid 4/5 hours then restless sleep. Usually he wakes around 6am but he’s been getting up around 5am, we are currently sat downstairs because we’ve given up on sleep. I really struggle to get back to sleep when woken so sleep hasn’t happened at all for me tonight think I’ve had 45 mins and the thought of a day literally running on fumes is making me want to cry my eyes out. Is there a sleep regression at 3 years old or I’m wondering if he’s having a growth spur? As he’s just had porridge at 5am as well as he said he’s hungry! I don’t know what to do but I’m a single mama, so any advice for sleep welcome! I am with someone who isn’t his dad, and we stay his most of the week where he has his own room there but he does not stay in his bed at the minute for longer than an hour! Also we are staying my mums tonight and we share a bed there due to lack of rooms.. I also have a 14 hour day tomorrow at work so I really really need some help! Very desperate with what to do going forward because I’m worried the lack of sleep will stick and he’ll just never sleep properly again 😢

My little one is five months old and she refuses to sleep during the day. If we manage to get her down she’s either in the pram or after a feed. At night she feeds and then sleeps but wakes after an hour and a half to feed again or screams. Her wake windows can be over four hours long. I know that’s too long and I’m exhausted and emotional. Any advice would be appreciated.
