Healing tips

I had an emergency C-section on 09/04. I’m having pain in my back from the spinal block and sometimes my incision burns on one side. Does anyone have any healing tips for me?

Yeah it’s normal at this point still. My emergency c section had a more rough recovery

Hang in there girl! It’s so normal at not even a week post surgery. Please be gentle with yourself your body just went through major surgery. I felt better at about 8 weeks and yes emergency is a tougher recovery ❤️‍🩹

Ice pack for your incision. Sounds rough, but it helped me when incision had a burning/hot sensation.

I’m only a few days out from surgery so I’d definitely be gentle with yourself 🤍 Some soreness where the spinal was placed and burning/tingling around the incision can happen while everything is healing, but I’d keep an eye on it. Take your pain relief as prescribed, do short gentle walks, avoid lifting anything heavier than baby, and keep the incision clean and dry. If the burning is getting worse or you notice redness spreading, warmth, swelling, discharge, the wound opening or a fever, call your OB/L&D. And if the back pain comes with a severe headache, leg weakness/numbness or bladder/bowel problems, get checked urgently ❤️

Try to rest as much as possible limit standing for too long and if they gave you pain medication take it I wish I would have. I also recommend doing light massages on any numb area definitely feels weird and a little painful but definitely helps🙏🏽❤️

How do you find time for yourself with a baby?

2 months into mum life and I’m slowly trying to remember I’m a person too 😂
Between feeds, bottles, naps and somehow doing the same things on repeat all day, I’ve started trying to make a little time for things that are just mine again. I’m slowly getting back into a little beauty/wellness project and working on my online shop whenever I get a chance.
Any other mums trying to work on something of their own while on maternity leave? How are you finding the time without completely burning yourself out? 😅

Just struggling

Currently 15+4 and having a rough time. Feel like all I ever do is cry or feel exhausted! I wake up tired everyday and I hate it! Feel like such an invalid! I’m working full time & live with an autoimmune disease so everyone tells me to be easier on myself but I feel like I’m failing at pregnancy- anyone else just having a hard time in 2nd trimester? X

I had a pregnancy scan and they said baby came from right ovary, what does this mean?

Is this relevant? If yes why? Was there a reason this was mentioned... opinions please

I am starting packing the hospital bag and I am wondering what other people have been packing. Sleepsuits for the baby (the feet inside) or rompers and socks? Thank youuu
