Google Safe Sleep 7 La Leche League. My little one will mot sleep in the cot/crib so we practice safe sleep. I don’t think she would sleep train. She wants me to be in the same room even when she is playing.

I recommend wearing the same shirt all day and once it's bedtime, swaddle them up and place that same shirt near them so they can smell you and feel like they are right next to you.

Am I overreacting

Our son is 6 weeks old, turns 7 tomorrow. my partner never wakes up at night to help unless I ask him , ( sometimes I don’t need his help coz he has to go work and I don’t mind doing it myself ) the only time I ask for help is when I’m extremely exhausted or when baby has really kept me up. when he does wake up on his own he just looks at us and goes back to sleep and sometimes he opts to sleep in the living room on the couch, btw he doesn’t share a bed with me, he sleeps on the floor bed for reasons best known to him! When I ask him to look after the baby he still comes back to ask questions on whether he is supposed to feed him, change him or put him to sleep which is just as good as me staying up and looking after baby myself. I was telling him about appointments I’ve got booked for our son and he said to me he can’t come I need to use uber, this came up after we went for our 6 weeks post natal check and he said to me he could have gone to work . I said to him the baby is ours he need to be a parent just like I do and not be selective on when he can and can’t help and shouldn’t let me do everything on my own., he needs to be involved! That aside, my son still wakes up almost 2-3 hourly for feeds so obviously I was up most of the night, after the appointment he told me he couldn’t look after the baby coz he needed to rest, which honestly I feel is unfair, he slept the whole night, he had his afternoon nap and I didn’t coz baby been fussy the whole day . He is quiet helpful with meal preps but sometimes I just need a break from baby and just get some rest, I feel I’m doing it all alone. We argued about the whole thing coz I have been repeating the same thing for 6 weeks now and he has been calling everyone saying I was screaming at him when I don’t ask him to help , honestly should I ask each and every time? Sometimes I would be eating me meals whilst carrying the baby and he would just be seated . Honestly it’s exhausting having to ask all the time when I have explained several times of what I require from him. keep in mind he wanted the baby, I love my son but he pushed for me to have a baby and he’s also complained about me getting the coil as contraception coz I told him I don’t want to go through this whole experience again. Honestly what would one do in this case

Would you call triage?

I've been having braxton hicks for about 1.5 hours, they're not painful but I have had a very slight period like pain. Moving and changing position doesn't stop them. I'm 34+4, would you call triage? I don't want to be a time waster.

Delayed

I’m worried my child should be doing certain things she’s not by now she’s 14 months old this months and all she’s says is mama she doesn’t say no or anything does shake her head to the word she babbles a lot but nothing that sounds like words is this normal or should she be doing it by now? That’s just some things

Feeling lonely😅

A few days ago, I drove to a local park to get myself and my baby some fresh air. We have well and truly been in the trenches so it was definitely a mental health walk. While I was paying for parking I saw a few other mams getting g their babies out of cars and into pushchairs but I thought nothing of it and I didn’t see them anywhere along the walk.

At the end of the walk I went to the cafe, and honestly I felt no better. I’d been walking around crying, I was exhausted and desperately needing a break but the only thing to stop my baby crying was to walk and walk and walk. I was just feeling sorry for myself really. As I sat down outside this cafe, through the window I saw the group of mams all sat around a few tables, talking together. A few saw me sat outside, clearly upset. But not one approached me, asked if I was okay or if I wanted to join. Addmitedly I didn’t approach them either, but I knew if i was a mam sat in that group and saw a mother crying on her own, I would not ignore her. Being ignored made me even more upset and I left shortly after.

Honestly not sure if i was valid in being upset, but it’s so unlike me and i’m putting it down to hormones and sleep deprivation. I guess I’d just like to share, please don’t leave other mams out, even if you don’t know them a smile or a hello would go a long way :)

Overtired baby everyday

Tell me I am not the only one please ! I am getting really depressed and I feel like I am suffocating. I have a 10 week old baby that does not nap easily. It takes her 1-3h to put her to sleep. I have a 4 year old boy at home and my husband comes at 7pm. I am trying my best but I feel like I am letting my boy all day alone, trying to put her to bed. I have tried everything. She only naps on my shoulder. In the carrier also, and on the breast, if I take it out of her mouth she opens her eyes. My nipples are sore as she is not even sucking she only open and closes her mouth. As soon as I leave her down she opens her eyes. I can't even follow her wake windows anymore as she is always tired and tired... I am mentally suffering.
