cervix check

so i declined every other time they’ve asked if i wanted a cervix check but finally gave in for my 39 week appt today and i’m 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. it definitely didn’t feel good but some people really scared me with their stories so the adrenaline rush out of fear definitely helped with pain i think as well. ever since ive been crampy and i had a very big bloody show/lost my mucus plug after a nap. i have no clue which it was im assuming mucus plug? but very bloody? i peed it out. i don’t want to post a pic as i know people are sensitive to blood but i called the ob hotline and the lady was lowkey rude on the phone about it but calmed me enough saying as long as i dont have contractions every 5 minutes 🤷‍♀️ i slept most of the day and dont feel 100% but omg how can i give birth if i can barely take a cervix check 💀 trying not to get in my head too much

Mucus plug and bloody show are basically the same thing. If it's bloody, it's bloody show. Labor is hard but it ends. And you get a baby for it! But pee doesn't come out of the same place as your bloody show so I don't know how you peed it out.

Yeah I gave birth 3 days ago and honestly the contractions hurt worse than pushing lol I did duck walks a few days ago and I guess that helped I pushed him out in 4 pushes only in labor for 8 hours

What are the odds my elective will happen tomorrow? (I know it's hard to say)

The hospital called me and told me to come in at 7am instead of 7:30am, however they also said I would be coming in with 6 other women and the list won't be made until we are all admitted (understandable). The theatre is open from 8 or 8:30am until 7:30pm and they don't do electives on the weekend. What are estimated odds I will actually get to meet my little one tomorrow? Just worried as I am not allowed even water from 7am on

Back to work after mat leave

Hi all, I started back on work Tuesday after a year off, my lg is 10 and half months old I also have a 5 year old who’s in y1.
I only work 3 days a week Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. I honestly feel so run down already and I’ve only done my second day I honestly don’t know how I’m going to do this for the foreseeable it’s just constant. I have so much to do yet I’m sat here eating cake and a super noodle for my tea because I don’t have the energy or time to cook my self anything.
I’m a hairdresser and I just feel mentally and physically drained already. Does it get easier

Triage reduced movements

I went into triage for reduced movement and after feeling reassured on ctg. A random dr comes in and tells me I should deliver today as at term.

Like wtf - midwife said it’s protocol for them to say that

I’m so annoyed

I have C-section booked for Tuesday so part of me just wants to go with that now

Breeched Baby

So I went to my ob yesterday. I have been having TERRIBLE pain in my pelvic area and awful nausea. My feet are humongous and I'm retaining water. My ob thought this was all strange, so she did an ultrasound and my baby is breeched. He is kicking me right in the vagina and making me so sick. I will be 29 weeks tomorrow , so he still has time to turn around, but they want to keep an eye on him. Did anyone else go through this? What happened?
