Hey mamas just wanted some advice to prep for winter.
My son is 15 months and is still in his cot. When is the appropriate time to buy him a duvet, he has been using 2.5 tog coverlets.
Can duvets be used in the cot?
Or is it only for single beds?
I did read from 18 months they can move to a single bed but we just do not have the space right now.

I’d personally never use a duvet in a cot.
We had one in a floor bed from 13 months.
If a sleeping bag works I’d keep using it! My nearly 3 year old won’t go under a duvet no matter how cold it is he lays ontop of it and if you cover him he kicks it off x

We got my little boy a cot bed so have turned it into the toddler bed part. Hes been in that since 12 months old (he climbed out the cot). We've just given him an actual duvet since its been cooler. Over the summer he just had a giant muslin as a cover if he needed it
We pay £20 a day extra on a funded day (10 hours a day) it’s £10 for consumables and £10 enhanced provision. It’s all itemised on the invoice and 25p an hour is nappies and 75p and hour food, my son hasn’t worn nappies for months and nursery have also stopped the morning snack without making it common knowledge but the price hasn’t changed. The enhanced provision they have said covers things such as using bikes, hi viz jackets, drinks such as cows milk, sensory play, painting aprons etc they have literally covered everything in suprised they haven’t charged for the air they’re breathing in there 😅 all of the above I believe are covered in the core element of EYFS and shouldn’t be charged extra for?!

A few days ago, I drove to a local park to get myself and my baby some fresh air. We have well and truly been in the trenches so it was definitely a mental health walk. While I was paying for parking I saw a few other mams getting g their babies out of cars and into pushchairs but I thought nothing of it and I didn’t see them anywhere along the walk.
At the end of the walk I went to the cafe, and honestly I felt no better. I’d been walking around crying, I was exhausted and desperately needing a break but the only thing to stop my baby crying was to walk and walk and walk. I was just feeling sorry for myself really. As I sat down outside this cafe, through the window I saw the group of mams all sat around a few tables, talking together. A few saw me sat outside, clearly upset. But not one approached me, asked if I was okay or if I wanted to join. Addmitedly I didn’t approach them either, but I knew if i was a mam sat in that group and saw a mother crying on her own, I would not ignore her. Being ignored made me even more upset and I left shortly after.
Honestly not sure if i was valid in being upset, but it’s so unlike me and i’m putting it down to hormones and sleep deprivation. I guess I’d just like to share, please don’t leave other mams out, even if you don’t know them a smile or a hello would go a long way :)

This is gonna sound so fucked up but I honestly can’t cope with my 7 month old. She’s waking up 4/5 times a night and it’s driving me fucking insane. I have to be up at 6:30am as I have a toddler and my partner does night shifts so I can’t ask him for shit all. I’m finding myself shouting af the baby and getting really fucking worked up cos I can’t cope with this bullshit waking up every 2 hours. I’m honestly so fucking frustrated even typing this because it’s 4am and I’ve had no sleep tonight this is her 4th wake up. I feel so guilty shouting at her but I’m honestly losing my fucking marbles

How did everyone’s little ones deal with the final set of jabs at 4 months? Ours are tomorrow and I’m nervous! 😭

Where are we putting our babies to sleep in the daytime? I assume like mine most have outgrown their Moses basket x
