My son (four) got a dirtbike for his birthday. I told him he could ride it in the backyard. I was watching him and sitting in a chair. He has a helmet he has to wear and he took it off and threw it on the ground hopped back on and started riding it and I told him he needed to stop and put it back on, and he looked at me and smiled and said I do whatever I want and did another lap I had to get in front of his dirtbike and stop it I am pregnant and can’t be dealing with chasing my son down and stopping a dirtbike.
When he got inside, he threw his helmet down we’ve been dealing with some major behavior problems lately, and I’m not quite sure how to deal with them. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m pregnant, but my patience is wearing thin:/ lately he’s been saying things like I hate you or I only listen to my Gigi! And I’m really not sure how to stop this behavior for a while ignored it but now I feel like I’m letting him walk all over him me. It’s not a great lesson to teach that you can talk to me however you want lol
Please help I would love some advice!!!!

He definitely needs to be disciplined. Don’t ignore it. I wouldn’t let him ride his bike anymore until he listens and keeps the helmet on. It probably passed time to discipline now but next time tell him you need to wear how much if you don’t wear helmet then you’re coming inside and you don’t get to ride it again until you wear it

And for talking and saying those not nice things i assume he doesn’t just randomly say it but if he says it because you said no to something then take that item away until he says sorry. And put him in timeout. We’ve been doing timeout when the kids hit and they can’t play with the item they want until they say sorry

Let’s pedal back. Where did he even learn to talk like that?

If he can't follow the rules, he can't ride the dirt bike. "You've shown me that you're not ready to ride the dirt bike. When I can trust that you'll listen to rules, we can talk about you riding the dirt bike again". He needs firm but kind discipline or the behavior will just get worse. As a side note, I'm not sure why a four year old needs a dirt bike anyways. Seems like an accident waiting to happen.

Dirt bike would not be getting gassed up or charged (idk what type of model yall have) for the foreseeable future.
Rules regarding safety on motorized vehicles are absolutely a hard hard boundary I would be holding.
As for the language I’m not entirely sure how I’d handle that on its own.

Is his father or other parent in the picture? Maybe he can have a talk with him? Your son definitely needs discipline now that he’s only 4, or else it will only get worse. You are pregnant and don’t need to be stressing. Also, you may need to figure out where he is learning this kind of behavior in the first place. Good luck mama, hope everything goes well.

That dirt bike gets taken away the minute he stops wearing the helmet. Give him the heads up. I would put the boundaries in place and hold to them.

Thriving mind Montessori on. Youtube gives tips
My daughter has told me a few times now since starting 2nd grade that some of her classmates have cell phones and now she wants one obviously she’s not going to get one lmao, but the fact that this is already a thing and convo I’m having now is mind blowing to me, I thought I’d have a few more years

Hi ladies
I’m just wondering if anyone could talk me through how the payments work for the tax free child care for nursery?
We are eligible for 30 free hours which we claim and the nursery have sorted for us.
I have only just realised today when updating my account that I am also eligible for tax free child care which I believe is where the government pays 20% of the nursery bill?
My nursery bill per month is £137, I have selected and set up my nursery on the account, I’m just not really understanding how the money gets paid in and how the gov know how much to pay for their bit?
I have taken a screen shot of the screen that came up for when I was trying to have a nosy round and figure out how to pay, I haven’t actually got my next bill just yet, and last month I just paid the full £137 myself straight from my bank account as I didn’t realise I was eligible for the tax free one. No biggy really about the first bill as he has only just started nursery so that was his first bill, I would just like to know how to pay it with the government bit in preparation for the next bill.
Thank you

So I’m currently at the hospital because I’m in labor and about to deliver my baby within the next hour and a half probably and none one’s here.
Well my mom’s on the way to me now but it’ll take a minute for her to come. As for my baby’s dad, nowhere in sight. I told him I was in the hospital and he said he wanted to be there when his son is born but where is he? Who knows.
Am I upset? Definitely. Am I surprised? No not really. I’m only irritated because I know he’s going to blame me for something like he always does and it’s going to be horrible.
But that’s not important, what’s important is that I get to see my baby boy soon with or without him. Sad to say but I can’t control how he reacts so I’m just gonna focus on me and baby.

Baby could come in 3 weeks and my partner hasn’t help with anything at all! I’ve even given him the space and said we need to discuss these things, let me know when you’re free to chat and he still hasn’t bothered! He said he was going to talk to me yesterday but apparently I was too emotional so he didn’t bother! Which I think is a lie, he was just trying to find an excuse. He has been purposely coming home late from work all week and my little one would ask why daddy is late for dinner. I don’t know what to do anymore, I’m so mentally exhausted and feel so alone in this process! I’m hoping for a home birth, I don’t know how this would work if I feel so unsupported at the moment!

Everything is always the baby first think of the baby. But what about me. Like honestly I’m so tired. it’s my second time getting fucked over and left with a baby. This time though I have to share my son on weekends because his father want to be “in the picture”. I honestly just want to cut him off and move somewhere so I don’t have to. :/ feeling angry and sad
