So I generally go through everyday with my kids. I have a 5 and a 1 year old. I don’t ever get a break from them like ever. So I’m constantly overstimulated and my nervous system is in overdrive. My bf doesn’t help with them unless they need something bought for them. He doesn’t help with diapers, occasionally helps with baths, cooks for them once a week (only 1 meal), and blames it all on work.
I asked my bf to watch them so I can get a break because I’m currently going thru PPD and PP rage. I’ve found myself yelling at my 5 year old and I hate that it’s so hard to control my anger sometimes. On top of this, she has built up quite an attitude and is at the peak of pushing boundaries. Which isn’t necessarily her fault but it’s also extremely difficult to deal with on such a short fuse. Anyway, I asked him to watch them, he ignored me, and I decided to just leave them in the living room with him while I stayed in our room. When I tried to gently take them both out of the room, my 5 year old put her feet in front of the door yelling “no!” I did get irritated, and tried to move her feet and close the door. I didn’t see my 1 year olds fingers in the crack of the door when I tried to close it. I immediately felt so guilty, like such a bad mom. On top of this, my bf starts yelling at me “HIS FINGERS WERE RIGHT THERE HOW DIDNT YOU SEE THAT YOU SELLING YOU HAVE NO IQ.”
I got some ice, put it on his fingers. I tried to pick him up but my bf wouldn’t let me hold him. He just kept saying “you’re a salesperson for how much you be selling”. Aaaand now I’m breastfeeding our 1 year old and crying. Was I wrong?

You definitely weren't wrong, it was an accident we've all been there. Your bf is an asshole. Also what does "selling" mean I've never heard it used this way??
There is a family lives two doors down from us and they have 3 kids, a boy, a girl and a baby. The girl cries a lot and it often sounds like she’s being neglected by her own parents. Like she would just let her cry. It happens a lot from evening to nighttime, and it would last between 5-10+ minutes. I once heard them from our garden when the little girl was crying and her mum was banging loudly on something a few times and shouted at her. I know they’re Muslim because she’s got the hijab on. It’s always just the little girl crying in distress.
Almost every night.
I do hear her laughing, but it’s so rare.
What do you think I should do?
I live in the UK btw. I thought about knocking to check on her but I don’t know if it’s safe to do? I have met the dad in the playground before with his older son and he sounded like he loves his son and his wife. It’s just the mum? Idk.

I saw a TikTok the other day where a mum was sharing her rules as a ‘strict’ parent.
her kids ONLY drink water, unless it’s a special occasion/meal, then they’re allowed juice. NEVER pop.
( her children get sugar through other things like fruit, snacks, etc. )
I know most mums allow their kids to drink water AND juice, then pop is what they’re only allowed during a special occasion/meal.
Im currently carrying my first child, so not just there yet. However, I plan on doing only water.
What are your rules?

Ladies, I'd like some advice on what you would do/think..so I've been in a long-term relationship with my partner, but I have noticed over the last few years that he's become more secretive with his second phone.
So much so that whenever I come into the room, he always put the phone straight to the homepage for me to not see what he was doing. I thought it was a one off but I've realised its actually become a pattern.
Earlier in our relationship, he told me the password to this phone and didn't mind me going into it (even though I only ever went on it in his presence), but the change in his behaviour with this phone came along the same time as when he changed the password.
I've tried to confront him about it but he always finds an excuse, and never tries to reassure me of his loyalty.
When I ask him about it, he says that I'm the one who's forgotten the password and that he hasn't changed it but is adamant about me not seeing or accessing the phone.
Am I wrong to assume he's been unfaithful, entertaining someone he doesn’t want me to know about?
(And for a slight context, a few years ago, he actually told me he set up a dating profile on the same phone to help a friend who isn't good at talking to women).

My 12 month old has low iron. Anyone have any iron rich plates/meals that you recommend? Anything from breakfast, lunch, or dinner is appreciated. Thank you. 🙏

My son is 8 months old and I've always felt super weird when we're with my in-laws, his grandparents. They are so loving and great with him, just I feel crazy overprotective and uncomfortable about everything. Even silly things like them sitting and reading a book with him, or building towers.
They're doing absolutely nothing wrong, I just feel like I can't relax and I just want him back all the time. Everything just makes me cringe for some reason.
I just don't understand my feelings. They are lovely people, I just feel very weird when he's with them.
This isn't the case with my parents however.
Anyone feel the same or can help me figure out this feeling?
